Nothing, everything was great.

Location was great - close to the busier areas in LU, including great dining spots and the beach. We did come at the end of the long weekend, so everything was quiet and we had the parking to ourselves. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was perfect for our group of 4 (we booked the family room for 6). We had everything we needed!

The parking was very limited and the staff was pretty adamant about the parking slots so it was a bit of a downside, better not to bring a car instead.

The wifi connection was stable in the cafe area so we were able to work. The location was pretty near the beach and 7-11 and there were also quiet hours implemented at night which was nice.

The roof deck couldve been laid out more intentionally and thoughtfully rather than randomly (that's what it appeared to me). Colorful floor mats, low tables, decked with bean bags (in jute material) + incandescent bulbs can liven up the space more, especially at night. You have more than enough of the concrete + wood theme all around, would be refresbhing to see some color this part of the propeerty. It will encourage guests to stay longer in that zone with the cozy, laidback vibe (vs. the masakit sa pwet na kahoy furniture all around; dont get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE Filipino handcrafted wooden furniture). Perhaps a good balance in the quantity could lessen the "hardness" feeling one gets.

the exterior and interior architecture and the thoughtful combination of cold and warm (concrete and wood) are my favorite design aesthetic, so these easily & completely meet, rather exceed, my expectations.

We had a great stay at Shorebreak Hostel. Everyone was very accomodating. Especially, Romela who neverl fails to update me. Romela was very responsive to my messages and inquiries. Even until we checked out she took care of us. Room - Excellent and clean. It was comfortable and safe. Restroom - It was enough for everyone and we don’t have to wait for each other turns. They also offer free body wash and shampoo. Restroom was clean and is separate for men and women. Staff - Everyone was very friendly. Even outside the Hostel they will greet you. Location - it’s situated at the center of EVERYTHING. Perfect spot. Parking - They have pay parking that’s just at the back of the Hostel.

I didn’t like the location as it was a little bit far from the beach the price is a little bit off for the quality of the room. To much time spend for check in and check out specially asking deposits upon stay waste of money for a room. Definitely not to recommend to all my canadian friends as locals 😏 CAUTION : stain charge you 500 pesos no slippers in the room . Even bringing food is prohibited . No disability access . But staff are very hospitable as we all expect in Philippines .

Having to beg to check in 1 hour early while we sat and sweated in the heat. The room was empty and already cleaned. But the front desk wanted 1500 pesos more to go in early. Finally letting us in 1 hour early after the lady at the desk spoke to a gentleman. We checked out at 5:00 a.m. But no one was at the front desk till 7 a.m. to get our deposit back. Lucky we had other family members there to get our deposit back later in the day.

Way to small room, and dirty, not enough water pressure. Can only accommodate 2 cars but they’ll wake you up , to move your car each time even in the middle of the night.the staff wasn’t trained properly.😇

Convenient location, v near to most restaurants and 5 min walk to the beach. The place is v clean and v aesthetic.

There was a short power outage from 6am-10am during our last day but to be fair it is the entire San Juan city. They had generators to back up water supply though which was essential.

We had a very pleasant experience thanks to the staff and the owners who were exceptional!! They were prompt, attentive and anticipated your needs. Their facilities were clean, spacious and had a thoughtful touch to it. We loved that we could play with Billie, the golden retriever, too!

Water was weak midday. Communal bathroom was clean but other people kept leaving their stuff there so it was kinda messy. They didn't have coffee at the cafe during my stay :(

Friendly staff. Other guests were friendly too. Met their dog Billie which was lovely 💛
