Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Awesome location, right jn front of the beach and nearby plenty of cafe and carinderias. Staff were nice, there was aircon and room very basic and small but functional for 1 or 2 nights

Great room for the price, but the stuff did change my room mid stay even it was not agreed beforehand. The WiFi is not available in most of the rooms and the shower was good but without hot water. Still I enjoyed my stay and for the price I don’t think you can get much better

Extremely helpful owner and each person working in the Pension. Perfect localization - few minutes by walking to the very chill Beach, Port Barton bus terminal, restaurants, bars, etc.

I didn't like that have not warm water in the shower.
Port Barton it's so good place, wit an atmosphere tranquility and calm. In my hostel, the person in reception she was very kindness and friendly. The room it was simple but its ok.

It's okay for its price.
I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation in Port Barton! It is conveniently located near the beach and just a short walk to restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The place is also near the terminal, which was very accessible for travel. Despite being close to everything, it offers a quiet and peaceful environment, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities. The unlimited coffee was a delightful bonus, and the staff was warm and accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Port Barton if you're on a budget.

No WiFi - although the advert did state this :)
Great location - close to the beach and bus station. Friendly staff. Extremely good value. Nice outdoor seating area.

There was no running water so it was extremely hard to shower and use the bathroom facilities.
It was very clean, the location was brilliant, two minutes away from the beach and a small convenient store.

Room was very small, but ok. Lots of mosquitos, but might be a problem in Port Barton in general. No toilet paper, but was provided upon request. All in all still a good stay and we would come again.
Super friendly host. Provided us with lots of information regarding the town like a local basketball match, Foundation Ceremony etc. You can also book tours and transportation there. They do laundry for you. Very good location, about 2 minutes from bus terminal, just 1 minute to the beach.

Nothing.The fecilities were appropriated the price.
As the others said - "superfriendly" owners :-) the location nice - quiet except roosters. Only 1 minute to the beach. Simple fecilities but definitelly worth the price :-)

Very basic room, may need a refurbishment. But ok for the price.
Owners are nice and very helpful. Perfect location, 100m from the beach, 300m from the bus terminal. Water filing station.

The room is very simple. But it is big enough for 1 person (i do not recommend for 2 )
The owner, Janet, is adorable! I felt at home. The location is perfect.

nothing really. it’s basic but exactly what I needed.
The couple running Shenamae are lovely. As a solo traveller this made all the difference for me. They are helpful, funny and chatty. I sat chatting to them on a many occasions. also perfect location, right next to the beach.

Not a problem for me, there's no hot water.
Perfect location, 3 min from van station, 2 min from beach, shops, restaurants. Perfectly quiet at night. Janet and her husband are professional, approachable, warm, welcoming, always in a good mood and happy to sit and have a chat if you feel like it. Janet makes you feel not like a client but a guest. She helps with any little problem you may have. In the morning they offer coffee, bread and company. All day you can refill your bottle of water... I felt at home, relaxed, grateful.

Bathroom has no ventilation Dogs ( they are nice ) can be noisy at night and wake you up
Very friendly host family, nice location, clean and confortable room. I definitely recommend the place
