Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

1. Spacious, clean and comfortable villa with huge bathroom and balcony. Staff was extremely hospitable and helpful. Also we liked breakfast and ability to rent a bike. Not far from White beach but very quite and separated. Next time in Boracay we’ll definitely stay here again!

United KingdomThe only downside is that the property needs a bit of maintenance. Some areas of the resort look abandoned, and other parts more neglected. It’s not really nice to see cause the resort has a big potential. Even the rooms , beautiful and clean but you can tell that need a bit of refurbishing done. Also the SPA is very expensive . The prices are too high even for what the resort looks like now. Just few things to fix and I am sure it will go back to where the resort was before . Overall we had a great stay at mandala .
We spent couple of days in this resort and I was very beautiful. The resort itself big and quiet . A lot of trees and natura around you. The villas are superb. So spacious , with big en-suite bathroom , open air shower, a nice terrace and flowers everywhere . This place it’s very beautiful if you want unwind . It’s just a short 5 to 10 min walk to the main beach area , and it’s great if you want peace during your stay on boracay. They also have a Spa ( we did not try it ) but it looks very beautiful. The staff it’s so kind. They always say hello and welcoming you with a smile. They are lovely and they make sure that your stay it’s superb. Keep it up the good job 🙂

South AfricaIt was not a problem for us but older people or guest with small kids will find the walking from the beach to the hotel a bit tiring, especially that the villas are some distance away from the spa entrance. Count 15 min walk from your room to the beach. On the other hand, being close to main road had it advantages too.
We loved everything: our room was amazing with a huge bed in a big beautiful hut. Big bathroom with bathtub and outdoor shower, private terrasse opening on a lush space. Total privacy and very clean. The breakfast was very good, I especially loved the quinoa pancakes and the French omelette. The massage at the spa was great, felt very complete and great atmosphere. The service and people were very kind & helpful. Cleaning staff was efficient and thorough. We loved the location at 10 min walk from the beach, level of station 3 with the most beautiful and calmer part of White Beach (and also very good restaurant nearby) If we go again to Boracay we will come back to mandala Spa for sure.

United KingdomAbsolute oasis. The villa is large with lots of space to relax and unwind. Beautiful bathroom and outdoor shower. The staff is very exceptional and friendly. It honestly felt like you were a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of white beach but it was only a short walk away. Would stay again

Switzerland+ Stunning friendly staff + Stunning massage offerings + Great breakfast a la carte options + Feels like butler service due high amount of staff vs guest numbers + Special requests will get tried to fulfill + Rather boutique hotel feeling - some wear and tear maintenance required, of which some urgently - rather rustic atmosphere in the nature with surrounding sounds and not well isolated villas - yoga room no longer available but private lesson only

PhilippinesPeople who are not familiar with the island may find Mandala Spa and Resort far from the party happenings. We preferred the distance. The path to the beach entrance was a bit concerning due to the steep steps toward the beach. Please take note: Once you reach the gate, turn right to reach the beach.
We arrived at 10am and were delighted that we were welcomed to check-in already. Right when we booked our stay, we were immediately messaged about our Digital Detox Room -- that there is no TV nor Internet. It worked out well. Data and mobile signal were strong in the room. No issue. We were also drawn a couple bath, too! We were given citronella spray and just needed to refill at the front office. One our last morning, we requested for our breakfast to be brought to the room at 10am, after we have welcomed sunset in Station 1. Our meal was still warm when we arrived.

SwitzerlandBefore our arrival, the hotel attempted to cancel our booking, stating that the Black Friday deal we booked was too low due to a pricing error. They initially requested double the price or offered free cancellation, which we did not accept. After several emails, they finally honored the original booking. Additionally, there was no hot water in the room, and the hotel does not have a pool, though their focus is more on spa and relaxation services.
A truly exceptional stay! The villa was spacious and beautifully designed, with intricate details, a large bed, and an outdoor shower. The Romantic Spa Journey package was incredible, making our stay feel like a dream. The staff was warm and extremely helpful, assisting with reservations, scooter rentals, and transfers, all of which went smoothly. Breakfast was not a buffet, but the à la carte options were delicious and well-presented. This is the perfect place to relax and escape the busy tourist crowds of Boracay while still being close to the ferry port and a short walk or e-trike ride from Station 2.

GermanyAlthough it said it is a newly renovated villa the interior was outdated and the AC very noisy. Some of the spa programs were not available and those who were, are quite expensive. The noise from the nearby karaoke bar was quite disturbing.
Great location with serene surroundings, Superfriendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast at the restaurant onsite was very good although a bit pricy.

IsraelBeutiful and quite place , an escape from the rush of the city, and yet very clost to everything. Located at station 3, only a few minutes to white beach. The staff is on another level, very pleasent and worm and made our stay really great. The facilities were spacious with full privacy, with attention to details such as music and smell in the rooms. They also offer healthy and dalicious food in the restaurant at the place, with affordable prices. There is also a Spa at the hotel, with wonderfull treatments and great packages to hotel visitors.
