Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Switzerlandwas not really the feeling of a resort, many requests were declined (mainly foodwise bcs vegetarian), construction was quite loud, strictly no smoking, overall a bit too expensive for the service we got
house on the sea, super privacy and nice style of the resort.

PhilippinesI like the staff coz they are approachable, smiling and helpful. The food taste good but you can tell that it’s not fresh. It seems like the meat/ fish that they used was stored in the fridge for a long time.

It is unique style of the villas. The staff are polite, kind and attentive to your needs and requests. We requested a romantic dinner set up in the beach area but due to the weather, they set up on the second floor and it was magical. Also, I requested to set up a breakfast on our balcony. It was superb effort by the staff.

United KingdomNo hooks to hang clothes. No glasses for water consumption. More fresh Filipino fruit could be on menu, especially for breakfast.
Our first stay in Philippines, in Cebu, was carefully researched and we chose Kaway. We weren't disappointed. From moment we arrived, Star Elle Bryl Jia and the team were as much the most hospitable, engaging and friendly as we could wish to receive from our first Filipino experience. We stayed a few nights, landing at Mactan Airport and taking the long taxi ride in rush hour to Kaway....we paid pes5,800 through booking.com. On return, the lovely venue charged us less than pes5,000! Bargain! Useful information for the travelling through brigade. On check in, a huge welcome (we arrived late because of traffic) and a nice home made refreshment drink. We opted for a water bungalow room. On entry, received some complimentary banana chips and water. Our suitcases were carried by their porter as navigating the beams that lead out to sea might cause unnecessary damage. Nice touch. We love the indigenous crabs that stand guard outside the room and sway in and out with the tide, but run for life if you so even as look at them! But beware of their toxicity....as too of jellyfish (which Kaway take great pains to warn you about) but never came in contact with. The tide appears in for wake up, just in time for a morning/midday swim, then out for early evening, when locals arrive to harvest shellfish. Room was amazingly spacious. Extremely comfortable pillows and bed. Balcony loungers comfy. Efficient fridge with well selected mini bar. Aircon working brilliantly. Plenty of clothes storage space and a huge area for shower. Well lit surrounds, even on balcony at night. Free water fill up from the station in breakfast bar so bring your own refill receptacles.. Two pools, one for small kids, one infinity for big. Warm and not too deep. Well lit at night. Food was nice, we probably would have liked more fruit options, but on our leaving (very early hours) they very kindly prepared a fruit platter and banana chips with bottle water.

PhilippinesSome food in the restaurant is just too salty.
The rooms are superb! 👌 Even though the hotel is fully booked, it still maintains a quaint and uncrowded ambience at the resort, and the restaurant is not crowded either. You can definitely enjoy it if you love peace and quiet.

PhilippinesThere’s no mode of communication while in our rooms, we need to go all the way down to the front desk to ask for something or ask for help. The bamboo walk path looks nice but hard to walk by especially to old people. Some of the poolside edge tiles’ sharp and also the pool tiles where the lounge chair are is very slippery , it’s an accident made to happen.
Breakfast is okay, location wise, dinning areas is a bit far from the rooms

PhilippinesRoom had a broken chair, busted lightbulb, ants everywhere (even on the bed) and a RAT rummaging through the bin at night. Given the price of the room is on tge higher end for this area, we expected the hotel to double check these things. Food at the restaurant was hit or miss. On the fist night, most of our food was overcooked. Drinks at breakfast were bland. Pool has a strong chlorine scent which means it is not that clean (chlorine on clean water is odorless) Nothing much to do during low tide No place for toiletries in the bathroom (for toothbrush, etc)
Pretty view especially in the evening when the huge mangrove trees are lit Spacious room Cool AC Hot shower Crispy pata Free water (they have a dispenser)

Hong KongLook at the entrance of the property? That is such a SCAM and such a disappointment !!!! I paid 300 US $ for 2 nights and that money to stay in a really LOCAL resort that tries to be of international reputation... The price of the food in the restaurant is about 4 times the price of the food you can find in town...Again, that is really not to be expected... The breakfast has nothing attractive at all.
The location of the cabins above the sea is fantastic but that is pretty much ALL ????????????????

New ZealandWe had a great stay here very unique experience staying in in villas over the ocean at such an affordable price. And with huge pool, huge games balcony, free kayaks there is plenty to do. Has a nice big open air restaurant/drinks area also. Staff were great. Would highly recommend if you appreciate getting away from the crowds and chilling out.

Our stay at Kaway was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were visiting old friends or family. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and they really made us feel at home. I’m vegan, so finding good food while traveling can be tricky, but they completely nailed it! Every meal was super tasty and made with so much care – I felt so well taken care of. The place was spotless, and the vibe was just perfect. We were lucky enough to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the staff and their families, and it was such a blast! It was such a fun and memorable night, and we felt like part of their community. The location is incredible – a more untouched part of the Philippines that was a real highlight of our trip. It’s definitely worth the drive from the airport. If you’re looking for somewhere special, this is the place!

United StatesAll 6 jet skiis were broken. Pool table had felt all ripped up. Metal darts were totally bent. When we ordered dinner we waited over an hour. I ordered caesar salad and got iceberg lettuce with mayonnaise all over it! Ants in the room. No real beach area so low tide was just a big mud area. Make sure you get a seaside room. We got one facing the beach on accident and couldn’t change. That ruins the whole point.
Good pool area. Cute concept with the bungalows on the water.

The idea of it , we were booked for 8 nights ,after 2 nights we checked out with no refund due to poor value and expectations not met
