Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt didn’t really bother me but I wish the road to the property was updated to concrete.
First of all, they have the best staff here. Excellent customer service. Ms. Jonah at the front desk and Sir Dards at the back was very helpful, attentive and efficient. Second, the place is very beautiful. We stayed in one of the Villas with 2 kings beds and another Deluxe Room that was well thought of by the owner. Overall, the facility was clean and VERY RELAXING. Oh! The beach is only a 3 min walk 👍🏻

MontenegroWe had a wonderful stay at this villa in Panglao! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and having our own private pool was such a treat. The staff were incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was also perfect—just a short walk to Alona Beach and plenty of great restaurants nearby. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Bohol!

United KingdomOnly issue we found at the property was the rain affecting our front door. If there was heavy rain, it would somehow get inside our room, only at the front door.
All the facilities were great. Rooms we're always cleaned when requested, pool was clean which we used everyday. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

United StatesThe hotel is in the right next to some major construction sights with construction/workers around at all hours of the day. The walk to Alona beach felt a little sketchy at night. Overall it felt expensive for what we got.
The hotel itself was beautiful and felt like a refuge from the chaos of Alona beach. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomIt is in a busy location which means it’s a little noisy overnight.
Excellent property, beautiful room and pool set within wonderful tropical gardens which makes it feel really private even though it’s not far from the busy main road. Lovely staff and breakfast. Really clean and room offered lots of privacy. Great bar and staff helped book all of our trips and trikes.

AustraliaThe walk to the beach from the accommodation is a little dicey but not far. It’s through the backstreets and an alleyway full of construction material. Once completed I am sure that it will clean up well.
Quaint little property with lovely staff and very clean and comfortable rooms. The restaurant is very pretty by the pool and does a lovely breakfast. Only a short walk to beach through alleyway and to the main strip.

United States-Lots of mosquitos (in and out of the rooms) -Food on site was pretty basic -Coffee station wasn't replenished at cleaning -Only one pillow per person, which does seem to be the standard throughout the Philippines, and they did give us a few extras when we asked
This hotel is a hidden gem in Panglao. The location is set back off of the main road, and it's a smaller hotel, but it was perfect for my family. I like that most of what we wanted to do and see was within walking distance. Both beach and the town were easily accessible by foot, or by tricycle. The room was one of the most spacious places we stayed in. Based on the photos at booking, I figured my son would be sleeping on a couch but that area was set up into a king size bed, which was an awesome surprise. The pool is beautiful and I like that there are only a few villas, so I didn't have to deal with a ton of people or waiting for elevators, etc. It felt like home, and we really felt like the value was there for what we paid.

United StatesI don't like open air bathrooms and showers. You shower then immediately sweaty. Need ceiling fan in bathroom to circulate air or change to large windows that can be open or closed with aircon.
The villa with private pool was amazing. Great location to beach and main road, but dark at night. Rooms and kitchen were great. Staff were attentive to requests.

UzbekistanNot completely within the remit of the hotel, but the road to and from the hotel was very poor. Walking down to the beach directly wasn't nice because of all the rubbish and construction taking place.
The deluxe rooms were lovely- especially with the bathrooms being 'outdoor'. Staff in the hotel were lovely and helpful- creating a very nice atmosphere.

United StatesAs other reviews in the past few months have mentioned, there is an incredibly loud construction going on next door from very early in the morning (~7 a.m.) to very late at night (~10 p.m.). This makes sleeping quite difficult without earbuds -- and I could still hear them through my earbuds. According to past reviews, this has been a problem since at least September 2024, so I am unsure how much management has tried to combat this issue for guests. The most direct path to Alona Beach is narrow and not a pleasant walk. Lots of trash, broken bottles or rocks, easy to trip if you're not careful. The very short path to the main street can be a bit awkward with all the construction men nearby staring at you (especially if your'e s solo female traveler). It's unfortunate these above things are more out of control for the villa, though I hope they can at least work with the construction workers to have their work schedule be more considerate of villa guests (and anyone else living nearby, for that matter). PayPal accepted but with a 5% service fee; though this seems to be standard for other businesses in the area, it's quite a lot for a hotel to charge.
Short walk to Alona Beach on one end and the Main Street on another -- both ends had ATMs. Can arrange a tuktuk with the front desk for timed transportation to the airport. Towels, bed, and pillows were super comfortable, clean, and soft. I didn't have a mosquito problem, though there was bug spray available in my room if I needed it. Room was very spacious and comfortable for me. A/C and wi-fi were great. Grounds were pretty. Breakfast was generally fine, convenient to have at the hotel if you have an early morning start.
