Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesMaybe the location because it was far from town and it's a bit of a challenge if you don't have your own car. But at least there are public transactions available to get you around.
The peacefulness of the place. The room is spacious and there's a wide parking area.

BelgiumThe cottage is just few steps from the beach, with open kitchen with enough tables and chairs for the group of friends or family gatherings to seat, dine and enjoy the sea view and breath the see breeze. Jonathan and Wilma are very helpful and friendly, they can be requested at your own free will to give for their effort if you want them to cook: for example I requested them to fry the fresh fish and squids. I requested Jonathan to rent a karaoke and were having fun and lovely night singing and dancing together with them too as we invited them to join us. We did also night beach walking catching small crabs.

PhilippinesThe place is near Baguio. You will also pass through the Almeida Man-made Forest if you are coming from Naguilian Road. If you are coming from Ilocos, you will pass through Luna town, where you can visit the Baluarte before enjoying your stay here. You will really enjoy your stay here, freshly caught fish that you can buy at a low price. The room is spacious for a family of four. You can also cook and you can even have a bonfire at night. The water is clear, especially in the morning. This is a very relaxing place that is also near the USAFFE-NL Military Shrine and Park.

PhilippinesMy family enjoyed the short get away! The owner is responsive and the caretaker has been very helpful during our stay. The facility is convenient enough- a small cottage to keep valuables, rest and shower, outdoor kitchen to cook and grill! The view is fantastic, the whole stretch of beach is clean. Great venue and good value for money if you're looking for family or group day out!:)

United StatesNo bedside table to put cellphone and other stuff you want to be easily accessed and at arms length. No bath mat in the shower.Very slippery and dangerous! Having 5 adults in a 1 room cottage, there are not not enough racks and shelves in the bathroom and/or in the bedroom to put your towels and hygiene stuff. the rugs/mat in the room are not non slip and as I have said a high risk for fall! I suggest they offer breakfast as you have to drive 7 km out to the main Highway to get food. kitchen needs to he cleaned up a little bit.
It is beachfront.

AustriaMisleading pictures!!! It isn't the kind of family resort that one would expect, but it's a duplex cottage on a private under developed property. The way to find the entrance was complicated, without signage of any kind. The surroundings is sort of depressing. There is no TV in the room, no provision of towels and toiletries, not even at least toilet paper. There's a double bed and a bunk bed in our room with thin, cheap mattresses. The provided blankets are quite thin too and not enough for four guests. The bathroom has no water heater, there's no kettle in the room, and no complimentary coffee or water. There are stray dogs roaming around, one even came up to our terrace, probably looking for food. It was quite worrisome!!! Surely, these dogs aren't vaccinated, so we tried to keep our Shih Tzu pet away from them as much as possible. Who knows what could happen? They might attack her or us!!! The owners must not only be concerned about making profits! They need to look after the wellbeing and comfort of their guests, afterall, we are paying guests!!!
It is direct on the beach, has strong wifi, ample parking, very efficient caretaker who is ready to assist you anytime. The property is pet friendly, REASON WHY I CHOSE JCALM, so we brought along our little dog. There is an outdoor common kitchen with utensils and provision for plates, cutleries and glasses.

Philippines- curtain is used as blanket! - we were charged 200 for use of kitchen (gas) and 50 for drinking water. - beachfront was dirty with broken bottles, we had to clean up - not a swimmable beach - not CALM waves. Not sure if this is seasonal. And too many rough pebbles - there was an ongoing boat building or repair and electrical extension was tapped on our porch which made going in and out of our room difficult. They should not inconvenience guests - the stores charge tourist prices and incomplete (we almost could not buy rice) - you have to go out to the highway to buy what you need. - the road going out to the highway is very dark at night with many stray dogs - no floor drain the the toilet (not shower area) so CR becomes flooded easily
Good aircon Bunk beds are all double sized Caretaker is attentive
