    Nothing at all

I stayed for almost a week at Femya Native House and I can truly say it was a wonderful and memorable experience. If you want to escape the busy and crowded downtown, Femya is the perfect place for you. Aside from that, Ate Helen (the owner) is such a beautiful soul. We had such a great time together,it felt like we had known each other for a long time. She’s incredibly accommodating and all her dishes are superb. 🤩 I miss her place, and I miss her too. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future. 🫶🏼 PS: Since this is a native house and far from the city, expect some minor inconveniences at times but don’t worry, Ate Helen always has a backup plan 🤍

It is a lovely location which I love but I didn't realise how far away El Nido centre is. There is a local bus that runs, a tuktuk or hire a moped.

The host is as the reviews I read suggested an absolutely lively person. She is so helpful and goes above and beyond to help.

A very sweet little place with comfortable rooms and at 1 minute from the beach. The host Helen is a wonderful person who looked after me so well. I felt so welcomed and at home. Her brother Ricardo is so lovely as well. I highly recommend if you want a more local experience away from the crowds. Maraming salamat po Helen!

I LOVED my stay here! Helen is the most wonderful host and person who will organise anything for you, from transport to a laundry service. She is also an AMAZING cook! You will be lucky to stay in one of her bamboo rooms, which are really comfortable. I can’t recommend it enough.

Damp soil to the guests rooms. Some living creatures all around the tiny walls. But it can be met everywhere in the neighborhood I guess.

Lady manager is a very nice person, happy to help and organize things. She arranged me a tricycle from El Nido pier for an affordable price. Size of my bamboo room and its bed was satisfactory enough. Short walkable distance to the beach, maybe 30 meters.

You’re at the beach. Sand everywhere, all the time. Maybe a small broom for each room to sweep daily is good addition? If you’re a light sleeper, chickens and dogs may keep you up or if neighbors are loud, but that’s same in all of Philippines.

This is off the tourist track about 40 min of El Nido. It was a nice escape from the party tourist scene. Wake up, grab coffee and walk directly out to the beach in 20 steps. It’s rustic and simple and all you need if good with no frills. You can hear the ocean waves from your bed. 🌊 Helen is the host and she built this place! She runs the whole operation. From breakfast to dinner, she’s happy to help with questions. Super nice woman and very interesting to chat with. And yes, great cook! There are 3-4 other places to eat nearby, all on the beachfront. You can get snacks in town at store and street food bbq also. Arrival to the place is different: you take tricycle to the local bridge, grab your bags, trek up some stairs, walk across a big suspension bridge, back down the stairs, down a dirt road through a small village. About 10 min in total. Easy but be prepared to carry your bags—you don’t show up direct to the front door. Friendly locals are also around to help you carry bags - please tip them for their help. It’s a lovely quiet rustic spot with shared toilet and bathroom. You have all you need. Starlink was key in remote area as well. 👌🏽 A brown-out occurred one evening for couple hours but no big deal. It was beautiful to see the stars on the beach. Well worth the small effort to get here. Motorbikes for rent through Helen; some driving on pavement and also rocky dirt paths. Duli Beach is about 5 min away to north (go surfing or get a lesson) and Nacpan Beach is about 15 min south (more popular but bigger, have lunch and chill). Both have sand flies so bring some repellent. Both worth a visit.

The room was directly at the beach and the owner was so sweet and friendly. She helped me book tours (for the original price), she cooked tasty things for me (even vegetarian) and it was all just a bliss. The room came with mosquito net and a fan. The location is 45 mins out of El Nido, so you're going to need a scooter. Duli beach is relatively close and an absolute beauty with not many people running around.

Everything was just perfect. The owner is the most attentive person we met in the last months. Her food ( we only had vegetarian dishes) is amazing (ask for calabaza in coconut milk). She also rents surfboard and motorbike and organizes any kind of island hopping if you ask her. You walk 15 meters to the water and the cabins are very comfy and new. Thank you Atehelen for the last days - we enjoyed every second here. Important: Its a bamboo hut with shared bathroom and a cold shower.

Unfortunately this review has to be negative. The owner is described as a 'very nice person ' but she can barely stand even her own brother living there to help. If looking at this place you already know what to expect. They try to maintain it. I was fine with everything but one - the walls are so thin that you hear absolutely everything including whispers and lightest noise from your neighbour. It is literally like being in the same room but not seeing each other. The property is very small with a narrow yard like a corridor going straight into the beach. The properties around are all the way to the front while this is half way, the other half up front is shared area with the neighbours. Upon arrival i asked if i can use kitchen, the lady told me: we are here to help each other, you just pay a little for gas and oil and we cook it for you. When i asked for the service charge she kept silent... The bill came on the end - just for frying one 300 gr fish i used to buy every day the fee for gas was 100 php each time, followed by a long list finished with a fee for washing my plate each time. The few things i got from them were overpriced, with a rice serving at a restaurant price (not carenderia)... It turned out that for the service charges for eating a small dinner under the dim light in the narrow yard there, i could have had two meals daily in the overpriced only eatery in the otherwise relatively poor village. About Bucana- i liked the beach but as locals confess the sand flies there are the worst around. If you dont use any insect repellent on the beach you will regret a lot later, i was warned but did not listen, since did not feel the bites. Transport - insanely overpriced, a trike will not go under 1000 each way to el nido. Renting a motor partially helps.
