Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only negative thing I can say about this hotel is the communication was difficult. I messaged them numerous times on the app. Only got ONE response out of 10-12 messages. I called the front desk at least 6 times over a two day period. Not ONCE did someone answer the phone.
The room was very spacious and new. Far better than some 5 star hotels in Manila. The staff was nice. It’s a great hotel. Nice facility and great pools.

United KingdomThe food in the restaurant was awful but to make matters worse my son got food poisoning from some ribs which were not heated up properly Leaving him bedridden for 3 days This meant we had to head out of the hotel every time we needed to eat which at times a little inconvenient
The location was perfect Staff The staff were so friendly and accommodating And our room was perfect, definitely worth the money

United KingdomOur room was at the back of the property and smelt of damp. A bit of a mosquito problem, but that goes with the location.
Reasonably good food and drink. Helpful staff.

New ZealandWe found the restaurant food to be a bit average, especially compared to some of the amazing local options nearby, so we’d recommend venturing offsite for some meals if you’re after more variety and flavour. One thing that was disappointing was the additional surcharge for ordering and eating by the poolside - for a resort of this standard, we felt that this should be included as part of the overall experience.
We stayed at this resort for five nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, which made our stay extra relaxing. We were about 10mins from town which was a perfect location from us and it was very easy to get a ride into town on the local tricycles. We also loved having access to multiple pools on-site, which gave us plenty of variety throughout our stay. Another highlight was the spa – we really enjoyed being able to book massages without needing to leave the resort. Overall, it was a great place to unwind and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

AustraliaThe breakfast was pretty average, especially considering it was not included and was an additional expense. I also found the staff to be a bit unfriendly when I was checking in, however the other staff were great
The pools were awesome, even at night they were very pretty! The live music created a nice atmosphere. I was lucky enough to get a room with pool access which was amazing

AustraliaThere was no happy hour in the afternoon for the drinks. The breakfast was quite expensive. The food was not delicious and lacked taste. The power outlets did not match the adapter we had to borrow from the reception. The gym needed the bare minimum such as weights. The floor of the bathroom was extremely slippery in the shower and the main floor of the bathroom.
The pool was great to have variety and choice about where to swim. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The size of the rooms were nice and big. The beds were very big and the bathrooms were very spacious. The live music every night in the main pool area was nice. They had a good system about using the pool towels.

NetherlandsSome swimming Pools were closed. We did not.like the massage: the towels were dirty and dusty, and no ambiance or soft music to relax. For that reason too expensive. The option of buffet breakfast that we only had once was not recommended. We went to the hotel restaurant instead and that was great
It was pleasant to stay here. Beds were comfortable and people friendly. You can book day tours at reception as well as transportation. Good service provided. The food and the people at the restaurant we liked most.

MalaysiaIt is a bit outdated, but good value for money. Far from town, but tricycles everywhere. I don’t like how they advertise it as a Mountain View when it’s just a wall of dirt outside your window. See photo.

ArgentinaThe air conditioning unit was extremely old and noisy — it was impossible to sleep with it on. Unfortunately, there was no fan either, so it was uncomfortably hot at night. On our first night, people were yelling in the pool area until midnight. We had to call reception multiple times to ask them to intervene. We also needed a transfer from the port, but despite messaging through Booking.com, we never received a reply. We ended up taking a tuk-tuk and carrying our luggage up the hill to reach reception. The property seems like it used to be nice, but it clearly hasn’t had proper maintenance in years. The pool area, in particular, looks run down and neglected. On a positive note, they are currently building a new section with a fresh-looking pool and building — that part does look promising. For the price we think breakfast should be included, considering the distance to town is about 20 minutes by tuktuk. There was a light bulb missing from one side of the bed.
