Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaThe room front lock was bit of an issue to open.
Extremely courteous staff providing detailed timely information to help tourist. El Nido is more than 5 hours from Puerto Princesa and anyone who wants to fully enjoy Puerto Princesa island needs to plan for atleast a week. This helps in enjoying the island completely as there are lot of attractions and long distance traveling. Bella Athena Garden is off Ca-Alan beach with a huge Bay area. It's about 1.5kms from El Nido town square and can be reached walking if less luggage. If with big luggage it's better to book tricycle which charges around Pesos100. The hotel provides pick up service before 6PM upon arrival. It's in a nice remote location with restaurant attached and bike rental services at P500 for 24 hours. The menu is well spread out and the rooms (more like cabins) extremely well furnished with private bathroom. There's laundry service couple of hotels away on the same road.

PhilippinesNone really!
If your are looking to stay on the quieter side of ElNido without spending too much, then this is the best place. The room has good space for 2 with sitting patio. The comfort room is clean with hot and cold shower. The blower is a plus. They are very considerate for the King-size bed. Great wifi connection. The restaurant offers good food. The complimentary brewed coffee is also great. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, they would really make your stay comfortable. We would really book again and recommend this place to others. Thanks again and sea you soon!

United StatesThe Bella Athena Gardens is a family owned hotel tucked away on a side street off the main coastal road running from the town center of El Nido. A private van takes you from the airport and you hop on the hotel's tricycle (tuktuk) to the hotel. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, with good AC and hot showers that wash away the sandy beach and salt water of the day's adventure. Island Tours and excursions can be arranged at the front desk, and the stay felt more like being over at a friend's house than at a corporate resort.

AustraliaWe can't think of any. Would recommend to everyone.
Bella Athena far exceeded our expectations. We had last minute booked (on an amazing last minute discount of 45% off!) and we were truly blown away by their thoughtful hospitality and lovely resort. It's located a 10 minute beach walk from town and the area is quiet and well lit. Upon arrival on a hot day we were instantly offered water and a seat. Scooter hiring and tour booking is available all through the resort. Our room had a huge kingsize bed, aircon, a big bathroom with the toilet and shower separated as well as a hairdryer. We stayed very comfortably for 12 days with no problems. Dinner is nice and drinks are chilled! Staff were outstanding... Thank you for your hospitality.

The resort is run by a family. They treated us the entire time, like members of their family. Nellda, Bernard, Diane, Pablo, and the rest of the team were all amazing. The service was world-class, and the food from the restaurant, Alimos, was the best ever! The presentation, quality, and taste of breakfast and dinner felt like you were at a 5-star resort. Keep up the great work. You all were awesome! Thanks for a wonderful say at The Bella Athena Garden.

FinlandOur room was the one that had received bad reviews from other guests as well. It is located right above the reception, and the noise from below (without soundproofing) is loud. The coffee machine or water dispenser beeps every minute at a high pitch and the roosters crow all night (a common noise in the area). However, we did not suggest changing rooms (hotel full?), because we had spread our luggage out in an already cramped room. No shelves, hooks or mirrors (there is a mirror in the toilet). The excursion booking made by the hotel (Rakki company) did not work very well for us. The food served stood on the beach sand without ice for 1-1.5 hours and the drink was 1.5 liters of warm orange lemonade for 4 people for 8 hours. In addition, the water provided was undrinkable. Be prepared to pay for everything on the beaches. In addition, the engine of our boat broke down twice and it was towed to the harbor, colliding with others.
The customer service was good and friendly. The food was good and it was easy to book a scooter directly from the hotel. The hotel has its own dog (Mr Bean) who was next to the reception in the mornings and evenings. You can also book island hopping tours directly from the hotel. The Hotel & Rakki company was willing to offer a new excursion the next day, but we couldn't take it due to fatigue, so they compensated part of it in another way.

This a bed and breakfast run by the owners which is a lovely Philippines couple, very attentive and accommodating. The hotel has a restaurant serving breakfast all day and dinner. Everything we ate there was delicious, so highly recommend it. The rooms were comfortable, clean and with good amenities. I would stay here again without a doubt.
