How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was neat, clean and well equipped. Everything was fine. Our host - Teave - was super friendly, helpful and kind! I can only recommend him and his house.

Location can be a little hard to find.
Very nice host. There was a river right behind our room so it was really soothing to sleep to the sound of the running water.

Maybe could be made clearer that you're sharing the property with the person who lives there, but they give you your space and the property is super clean.
Close to the airport and great value for money. Balcony is excellent, rooms really well equipped and you can use the kitchen if you want to cook. They let us leave our bags early and pick them up late as well as taking a shower late on.

I should have been more cautious when booking this accomodation, as it was listed based on the filters I set on booking, including a bathroom. Unfortunately since booking listed this accomodation among the criteria, I did not check on the page that it was shared bathroom. The way to get here was a bit tricky with a car even with the instructions (that were helpful). The owner was nice, but unfortunately the accomodation does not meet the comfort level, cleaniness and overall standards (even for the price and for one night) we are used to during our vacations. It had very nice reviews, which therefore was also a bit misleading for us, and also comforting when we made the booking, but honestly it is more suitable for backpackers and for more "adventurous" travellers who care less about accomodation comfort. So if you fall under this category and on a budget you may find this accomodation suitable and perfect fpr your needs. Next I we should be more vigilant when booking.
Relatively ok for a night stay before the airport, affordable price. Flawless communication, easy organisation. The view must have been nice during the day in the forest but we did not see it as we stayed only during night. Was not far from the airport.

There is no one there and it is remote. I arrived at night, the the dark, and was not comfortable staying alone there. It was clean, but lots of cockroaches which might just be the tropics. I did not stay, but instead booked another hotel and asked the driver to take me there. The owner seemed unconcerned about my stay, but very concerned that they be paid immediately- which I did. Only reason to write this review is to forewarn anyone traveling alone- if you stay here go out in daylight and take your own food. It is remote and there is nothing there but water and mustard. Also, the airport fare is like $40- so you might as well stay somewhere closer and pay for a room with AC and some morning coffee.
It’s a nice little guest house with a common area and kitchen. The area seems quiet. The airport driver is wonderful- very kind.
