How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing to complain about.
Very well located for walking around Miaflores. The price was very reasonable and the breakfast was very good. They also allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel on our last day which was extremely helpful as our flight home was just after midnight. Should out to the doorman (forgot his name) who went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of.

Room is spacious & well appointed with plenty of hot water. Breakfast is fabulous with both hot & cold options, fresh fruit & juice. Readily available coffee & tea. Location has high walkability with access to an assortment of restaurants.

The noise pollution from outside especially the building work next door. Bring ear plugs.
Big comfortable bed. Friendly helpful staff. Decent location in Miraflores. Free fruit and cookie a nice touch.

Whenever possible we like to sleep with our window open for fresh air. We were on the 6th floor and through the window we could hear the conversations from staff on the 8th floor (dining Room and kitchen) every morning at 5 or 6 am. Also there is a construction site next door which also made noise from early in the morning.
Very good location. Room was not large, but comfortable. Staff seemed always attentive and very kind. Everything seemed well cleaned. Breakfast was nice.

Selection of fruits on the breakfast buffet could have been better (in view of the possible fruit selection in Peru). No cold milk on the breakfast buffet. When asked, only a small glass was brought and the milk was not even really cold.

Nothing to complain about
Excellent location on a quiet street in miraflores, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars within easy walking distance, and a short walk to the beach. The room was big with a huge comfortable bed, and a great bathroom and lovely hot showers. A good buffet breakfast was included. Staff were excellent and very friendly and professional, and all reception spoke very good English. Very good WiFi throughout. The hotel was immaculately clean with floors being cleaned continuously and the room cleaned thoroughly every day. Highly recommended and would stay here again.

There is Nothing that we did not like. Everything was good.
We choose to always stay at Tierra Viva Miraflores Larco,we like the location. Absolutely love the big bedrooms and friendly staff.

Difficult to find fault..... other guests opening and closing thier doors on the floor was noticeable.
The location is perfect for making the most of Miraflores - half a block off the main road. Breakfast was the best we experienced during our two week trip to Peru. Staff were attentive and professional. A fruit bowl with green apples was a bonus.
