Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice and well located boutique hotel in the Miraflores area. We had an early tour so they prepared us breakfast to go in the morning, which was nice. The rooms are small and simple.

United KingdomThere was a very stale smell from the bathroom (guessing through the pipes) that stank up the whole room unless it was kept closed at all times. The noise from the corridor was quite loud as there was little soundproofing.
Rooms were basic but clean. Restaurant for breakfast downstairs was good.

BrazilThey didn’t have blankets on the bed. It was freezing! I used my towel as a blanket the first night, and asked them for one the second night. They give it to me but acted like they didn’t understand why I wanted one!

CanadaBooking.com gave us the price in US dollars. We were charged by the hotel in Sols (which is normal). However, they converted the USD rate manually using 3.9 sols/USD. Rather then the official exchange rate around 3.64. When we questioned it, were told that the hotel always uses the same exchange rate (we're not sure why). However, this meant that we paid more then expected. For the cleanliness of the room, we were a little disappointed. The floors seemed to be quite dirty. Walking around the room in bare feet/socks, we noticed the bottoms of our feet would be filthy after a few minutes. There was also quite a lot of small ants.
Breakfast was good, the room was big and bed comfortable. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony because our room was under maintenance the first night, but we were offered the choice to switch the next night (we didn't to avoid the hassle of packing and moving rooms).

IsraelThe body soap in the shower was a nice addition but came out suuuper super little every press so it was tough to use, especially in Peru it’s super common to boil water before filtering it so it will be safe to drink, something we would’ve appreciated would be to have one in the room or in the lobby.
