Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was perfect
The hotel is in a great location, close to plaza Armas and the other historical sites. The hotel has great character, paticularly the breakfast room which is beautiful. The staff were wonderful and looked after our luggage when we went to stay close to machu picchu for the night. I would highly recommend this hotel.

LithuaniaThe hotel is in the old town, close to the main square, but on a very quiet street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price-to-quality ratio is good. We returned after a long hike and found our belongings in the newly booked room. Check-in and check-out can be done at any time. Highly recommended.

LithuaniaThe guesthouse is in the old town, close to the main square, but on a very quiet street. It's a great place to relax with all the amenities. The rooms are well furnished, there is hot water in the showers, unlimited filtered drinking water and tea including Coca. The breakfast is simple but sufficiently filling. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price-quality ratio is good. Highly recommended.

United KingdomThe room was quite basic. There was no kettle in the room so it was not possible to make a hot drink before going out on a tour. I was informed there was 24 hour access to a hot water urn in the breakfast room in lieu of a kettle. I tried to use it a couple of times early doors but it was locked away with no access to the breakfast room.
Location was great, just minutes away from the main square. The staff were very helpful. Great same day turnaround service on laundry/dry cleaning. Hotel set up and decor was really quaint. There wasn't hardly any noise and people were respectful on not disturbing other guests.

United StatesNothing.
I can’t stop thinking about our time at Rumi Punku—it was everything I hoped for and more. The ambience is what truly sold me. From the charming colonial architecture to the peaceful courtyard and warm lighting, it felt like stepping into another world. Breakfast each morning was inviting and full of delicious Peruvian aromas that made it hard to leave the table. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the staff made us feel welcome with their kindness and attention to detail. The views from the hotel were absolutely incredible—waking up to the mountains and rooftops of Cusco was unforgettable. Rumi Punku is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. I honestly wish I was there right now. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and a true taste of Cusco’s charm.

United KingdomThis is a brilliant base for a stay in Cuzco. A few minutes from the Plaza des Amas. Very comfortable rooms which are spaced around lovely courtyards. Superb service from the staff and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet is good and they will cook eggs for you to order. Laundry service is cheap and very efficient too

MaltaThis was the best hotel I've stayed in during my 2-week stay in Peru! This felt like so much more than 3-stars. The hotel in itself is lovely, and the rooms were really comfortable! The staff were helpful and the breakfast choices were abundant, especially for people who enjoy healthy meals. The location is perfect, away from many steep steps and central just steps away from the markets and main square. Stayed here twice, and would definitely stay again!

MaltaI booked this hotel not only because of the excellent reviews but also because it advertised having heating — which was important to me. However, when I arrived, the room was cold and the heater was off. Reception informed me that the heating is only turned on during specific hours (from 7 pm to 7 am), which I found a bit surprising as this wasn’t mentioned on the booking site. That said, they were very helpful and quickly provided a small heater when I mentioned I was feeling cold, so it wasn’t a problem in the end. Still, I believe it would be better if the limited heating hours were clearly stated in advance.
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable, with cozy beds that made for a great night's sleep. The location is perfect — very central and convenient for exploring the area. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety and high quality. Honestly, I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. Would definitely stay here again!

United StatesWhat a perfect stay in Cusco. This cute hotel has it all. We enjoyed spacious rooms, plentiful hot water, filtered water, breakfast, comfy beds, and massages post Inca trail. The staff was great- we stored our bags for 4 days during our Inca trail hike and they had them ready in our next room on check in. Breakfast was delicious and they are so accommodating! They even packed breakfast for early tours. I could not pick a better place to stay and it felt like such a bargain!
