How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only hotel in this area with ac ! That in February weather was a huge plus! Centric location, easy acces to several areas of the city. Good and friendly staff.

Quite small room. Window goes to the internal shaft, no sunlight. Some strange noise from facilities or whatever.
Nice and helpful staff at reception. Very good location in Lince district, close to everything you might need. Comfy bed, clean bathroom. Checkout at 12.

The restaurant has limited food options. They try to do their best, but ingredients aren't soo good
Excellent location, close to the downtown. In avenida Arequipa you will find a lot of stores, cafes and restaurants. Easy to find Uber.

Breakfast should start at 6:30am, but it was only available from 7am. As long as you don't plan a pick up before 7:30, you're good.
location close to a bus stop. We called the reception as the safe was not working. They came quickly to fix it.

I didn't pay for the breakfast included, but one day I tried ($10) and it was poor, with few options to eat. The place is very loud, neighbors could be very noisy.
Wi-Fi was good (~100 mb). The staff were very friendly. The room was small but considering I only needed to sleep and keep my stuff, it was ok.

I speak Spanish also but the lady at the desk didn't speak English. Maybe during the day there is someone who speaks English.
We just stayed here one night with late arrival and early leave so I can't say that much. Everything in the room worked well like the shower and air-conditioning. Beds were also comfortable

I have traveled all over the world and stayed in over 100 different hotels. This is one of the worst. They charge completely different prices, cheat and lie to you and steal your money. They are generally not intelligent, very annoying, crazy and unfriendly and have no idea about finances. Also, the rooms are very dark and you can hear everything from outside and from the neighbours. In the hotel, music plays in the hallway directly in front of your room from dawn to dusk, which is even more annoying because the walls are thin so you are forced to listen to it.

Location is a bit far from places of interest.
Brekkie was so so. Didn’t have much varieties, I think you are better off having brekkie outside.

They did not have wifi the first night, and the receptionist did not help at all even for a few minutes sharing internet. The tv had to tuned off by hand because the controller remote did not work.
The location is not bad at all, but if you are going to do excursions, you must probably an extra for pick ups. The breakfast was good.

Not great cleaning, there was pieces of fuss and hair on the floor, the walls have stains and the curtains are full of dust, they are almost black. The shower curtain had stains of shampoo.

Location isn’t around much. Breakfast is included but is fried rice with egg, lots of breads, a bowl of olives and watermelon…so was a little different than the pictures shown. Gym wasn’t open. Also had to ask for a second towel as room not made up for 2 people beforehand. And the front desk lady was so confused by our passports and entry stamps that this necessitated a phone call to our room at 22:30 for us to come down with them again (even though she had a photocopy). I believe this is because she was trying to find a way to charge us the Peruvian tax even though our passports and us are clearly Canadian, wasn’t impressed with this.
Rooms felt clean. Good shower pressure with hot water.
