Nice place, but far from anything

The location is a bit far away from Iquitos. I would recommend staying more than two nights to make the distance worth the trip. If you're travelling from Iquitos by collectivo, it is best to ask for the specific map location of where to take the collectivo. The staff only speak Spanish, so Google translate is handy. I was in a three bed dorm but I was the only person. It was perfect for me. But if there were three people, it might be a bit of a squeeze and hot in the room.

The environment is peaceful and relaxing! The facilities are new and very clean. There are many hammocks to choose from, and in different relaxing locations. Food is included - though it is quite simple. If you have dietary requirements, you should ask if they can be accommodated in advance. You might want to bring your own snacks/fruits as there are not many options in the nearby town.

Beautiful grounds, such care taken in all the plants. The staff and owners are so lovely and helpful and everything was great!!! The pool is lovely, the food was delicious and just genuinely an amazing place to relax and enjoy the jungle. It was also my boyfriend’s birthday while there and they helped us celebrate it with some handmade gifts, decorations in the room and we also went picking fruits, planting coconut trees and fishing. Even bought him out some cake and sang - it was truly an amazing experience and great birthday for him. I’m so grateful for everything !

We didn’t have our own bathroom but this was as expected and we could have upgraded our room. It’s a fairly long way from Iquitos but equally made it a nice place to chill.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ecolodge is beautiful, very nice place to relax for a few days. Food was delicious. We went on a jungle walk, fruit picking and fishing which was nice, our guide didn’t speak much English but he made an effort with Google translate which was very appreciated.

    Perfect place to unwind!

It's not that I didn't like it, but it's important to know that besides the bungalows, the rooms do not have toilets or showers. They are away from the rooms, a short walk on the deck. There is one bathroom with 2 showers and 2 toilets for women, and one bathroom with the same for men. The bathrooms do not have mosquito screens, nor hot water. All something to consider if it's important to you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Best is to be able to speak at least a bit of Spanish, because English is not their language. But it's a great way to practice your Spanish! Marta took me for a walk in the jungle on the property, so nice! And she was very helpful with arranging transport and a tour to Allpahuaya Mishana and the Manatee Rescue Center. Milagros was very helpful and kind during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was great! The garden is lovely, and the pool too.

It was a unique experience! I had never been to the jungle before, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. Listening to the different sounds of the jungle and feeling the energy of nature at PuraChata was truly special. This wooden retreat operates sustainably and is self-sufficient while maintaining comfort and elegance. A big thank you to the staff for making me feel like family. I'll be back soon, my friends!

I had a lovely, relaxing time at this place. It was everything I needed and wanted from a hostel and very new, clean and homely. The staff member treated me very well and was very pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return. Uk, Female 30
