The room was amazing, massive bed, bathroom with “actual hot water” (sorry Peru but I get told all the time there is hot water and their ain’t). The management team and Brecky crew are lovely.

Beautiful 200 year house, the family that owns the property is lovely. We needed to catch an early flight and they accommodated an Earlier breakfast for us. Beds are comfortable and room is very clean and quiet, also nice and dark. Would recommend 100%.

Large historic family compound with 15 - 20 en suite rooms. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the historic sites. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff with Antonio in the lead are excellent.

The style of the building was very traditionally pretty. The room was spacious with nice bathroom. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful. The owners were very friendly and gave me some tips. The place is a little walk from the town but still central with a supermarket nearby. I found it difficult to have a shower of pleasant temperature as mixing the water with taps required some experience and special skill I suppose.

There was quite a lot of noise from others in the property, although not during the evening, when it would be most impactful, so only a minor gripe. The shower wasn't great, difficult to achieve flow of consistent temperature. I wish it was possible to enter the property without having to ring the doorbell (e.g. with use of a key fob). Breakfast could be more generous, for the price. The room had peculiar lighting, needing multiple lights to be on to achieve decent illumination after dark.

The staff were fantastic. I felt very well looked after, secure and content. The hotel itself is a really calm, attractive place. My room was spacious with plenty of light in the daytime with window shutters open. I really enjoyed staying on the other side of the river from the main area of town (but within easy walking distance). There were plenty of shops, restaurants etc around.

Very flexible with our schedule. They had room available at 8 am when we arrived. We were able to leave some extra stuff behind while we left for a hiking trip.

Reception is not always manned, which can make it tricky if you have a question. They were exceptionally helpful though when I arrived at 0200, and I was let into my room quickly.

Beautiful building and convenient location just out of town, so nice and quiet. Really pleasant breakfast in the courtyard, with fruit and freshly cooked eggs. Room spacious and comfortable, with an ensuite with consistently hot shower.

The manager - Antonio - is a friendly and sociable guy. The loaction of the Posada is close to the Plaza de Armas (10 min by foot). The Posada is an old colonical style villa. I enjoyed my stay there very much! The taxi driver had problems to navigate to it. My room was right next to the large terrace on the first floor. At first I thought that would be a disadvantage. But since hardly any guests had booked in May, I had the terrace to myself.

The wonderfull colonial house with 2 nice little patios with beautiful flowers and a nice little terasse where you can enjoy you're breakfast is only surpassed by the heartfelt welcome you get by the host. If you have any wish or problem he will gladly help you and offer solutions aswell as give you great tipps of what to do in the city of arequipa and show you the way on a little city map Also you get the option of having your clothes cleaned if needed (super fast). A truly wonderfull experience!!

Our host was extraordinarily gracious and helpful. We truly felt at home and cared for. The location was perfect, the Posada was beautiful, the room was exceptionally comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We left feeling very grateful that we stayed here.

The casa is beautiful and characterful with a lovely courtyard . It is in a quiet location full of character. It is a pleasant walk in to the city. Lots of hot water , friendly staff. Amazing value for money and well suited to those on a limited budget. What really makes this place stand out is the owner Antonio, he is an amazing host. Rarely have we had someone take so much trouble to suggest places of interest, foods to try and places to eat in such detail. Nothing was too much trouble. He even stored our bags when we went on an overnight trip. Thank you.

Posada Nueva España is a great option in Arequipa. Well located near the historic centre but out of the hustle and bustle. It's an old house with traditional courtyards, and equipped and decorated with love and care. The host is a great conversationalist (in an impressive number of languages) and will make you feel very welcome and at home. The neighborhood is also great for a stroll, with nice places to eat and the Plaza de Yanahuara not far away. We had a great experience staying here.

It's the third time here. Just perfect. I love breakfast served in the garden patio. Always helpful. You can speak French and English besides Spanish. It is peaceful. And a nice walk downtown, restaurants and stores. Perfect for us.

Beautiful colonial building, very spacious, lovely terrace for breakfast and good location! The staff were amazing, very helpful in organising laundry and storing our rucksacks. Super friendly and kind - we highly recommend!
