Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe room itself is pretty basic, but all the other things available increase the value.
Very good location, clean, has an elevator, which is unusual for Peru. There is a beautiful terrace on the rooftop. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds and nice towels. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion all plentiful. There is a restaurant in the hotel.

PhilippinesThe water pressure is low and the room is sensory deprived. I requested for a room with a view but instead I was looking out to a wall. when I booked, I was not given another option. I wouldn't mind paying.
I like that the location of the property is in the center of the historical district. The size of the room is good but too old. water pressure is low which I guess common in Cuzco. Also, I was expecting to have a balcony but ended up looking out to a wall. I was out most of the time but it would be nice to have some kind of a view and not a wall. also, the room needs a bit more heating, one portable heater is not enough.

SloveniaDo note: evenings can get a little noisy due to the plaza’s buzz, so packing earplugs might be a smart move. We stayed there for 4 nights during the Cusco festival and luckily our room was off the street, so the noise wasn’t affecting our sleep too much, plus we were too tired from hiking and sightseeing.
The hotel sits in an unbeatable location —just a 20-minute drive from the airport and right on the Plaza de Armas, offering beautiful views of the square. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always eager to help. Breakfast, served from 6:00 to 10:00, was generous and varied—eggs, meats, pastries, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, and cereals, plus a coffee bar and delicious fresh juices (orange, papaya, and pineapple). We also ate lunch and dinner at our hotel, food was delicious both times. There’s also a lovely rooftop terrace that stays open until 10 PM—a perfect spot to unwind after a long day of hiking.

United StatesGreat staff, rooms clean, smack dab in the center so easy to walk to everything. Really nice breakfast and they hand make espresso and cappuccinos for you for a small fee. Lunch and dinner is also available. There is a terrace on top with insane views that they don't really promote but is awesome. Just go to fourth floor and walk through sitting area and up stairs. Staff very professional and friendly.

The breakfast was nice with a view of the plaza. I also had my laundry done for a reasonable price and my clothes were delivered to my room in excellent condition.

AustraliaThe hot water in the shower was a little hit and miss. Sometimes I just turn the hot water on and just ok, other times it’s really hot and you need both. One time hot water was quite cool for about 3 mins then got hot. Not a problem, but a little confusing was the free airport transfer from the airport to the hotel. My feedback to the hotel is the instructions need to be clearer. I was aware of the courtesy transport and booked it well ahead of time through Booking messaging when I made my booking. That part was good. What wasn’t good was on the day, I collect my bag at airport, and I can’t see anyone holding my name on a sign or the name of the hotel, there were a lot of taxi guys asking did I want a taxi. I went to airport info desk and asked where do I go, and was told there was no free airport transfer services. At this point I called the hotel and told to go to their person there. I asked where but a little lost in translation on the phone. Anyways, eventually figured out that I needed to leave the airport and go outside and walk a little to you get to the yellow railings and a representative of the hotel is there. Found him and put in a taxi for free.
Started with a free airport transfer to hotel Location of hotel is incredible. It is located right on the Plaza de Armas. So easy to get to everything a tourist needs to get to in Cusco (close to a lot of restaurants, a lot of tours start from the Plaza, just a vibe to be in the Plaza). It was a great way to start or end the day to have breakfast / a drink overlooking the Plaza. The staff really tried to go out of their way to help you. Both ladies on the front desk very friendly and accommodating. The staff at the restaurant also really good. Housekeeping service was very good. Reception even organised for me to have a massage at the hotel, which was excellent. The beds were slightly hard, but still comfortable. The beds had a lot of blankets (which is sometimes needed given the cool conditions in Cusco) and lots of pillows. A bottle of water was provided free each day, and a market is very close but to purchase further water and snacks. Overall a very comfortable stay and I would stay there again if I was ever in Cusco.
