While the terrace is great it can be a bit nosy and the double room was beside it, supposed to close at midnight but not something that's enforced. Stayed for 4 nights and room wasn't cleaned.

I really liked my stay in the Passion Hostel in Barranco. Staff were excellent, helpful and friendly, location of the hostel is perfect, the rooms are spacious, I would gladly stay there again. Big thanks to the staff!

I stayed in the private room. The “private entrance” is you ring the doorbell, someone lets you in then you walk past them and others to your door. There’s a “tumble dryer” in the description but there isn’t one. The laundry is a washing machine that you use yourself for 5 soles a kilo then hang it to dry (if there’s sun it might) The laundry outside the hostel is 5 soles a kg. They do it for you and dry it and all.

Nice vibe. Hot water heater right in the bathroom. The breakfast at 10 soles is worth it.

The hostel felt very dirty and run down. The bed mattresses were terrible and very worn, the communal areas were dirty and cramped and I didn’t enjoy my stay.

Water was off, meaning sinks, toilet and shower. Understand it’s beyond staffs control but there was no warning before we arrived or once we arrived of when the water would be off, and they did not know when it would be back on.

The hostel is right next to a main road, there was honking car horns all throughout the night and it honestly felt like it was in the room. There's no proper wall separating the hostel from the road, just a wooden garage door so it let's in all the sound. Really need to add sound proofing or don't have a bed right up against this door/wall (my bed was the closest to it so better night's sleep might be had a bit further back) The kitchen is not well stocked and needs additional cutlery and plates etc

At 3am one volunteer (I think from Argentina) was speaking very loud in the dorm room. When I politely asked him not to shout, he gave an aggressive look and said that the space was shared. Indeed because it's shared he shouldn't be waking up everyone. And who does he think he is? He is 10kg of muscles lighter than me. Does he think he is tough?

The door lock wasn’t working and three times we had people open the door to our room. I didn’t feel safe for myself, my partner or our belongings. The fact it was opened a few times means it wasn’t just one attempt by one member of staff either.

If the lock worked and we didn’t have multiple people enter, everything else was good.

Shower was cold, and the long staircases were a bit of a hassle with large luggage as I had. The kitchen had everything, but the pans and the oven were not super clean.

This hostel was one of the best I have stayed in my whole life. Staff was super friendly and gentle, giving tips on what to see and even taking me out for lunch. I would certainly stay there again when I go back to Lima! Transport from and to the airport was amazing and with a just fare.

It was not quiet at all, I could hear exactly what happens in the bathroom next to mine, it was not pleasant. Had a private room. Also I could not enter Hostal when I’d like, I had to ring the bell and then wait for someone to open the front door. People at reception made too much noise, they were watching some videos with loud speakers and I could hear everything! Very annoying!
