My room was beside the shared bathroom and it smelt bad. The water was not very warm.

Breakfast was filling with pancakes and bananas. The rooms were clean and there was electricity available. It was a good place to relax.

The room we stayed in was unfinished. No closets, no hooks to hang anything, no mirror, no electricity plugs. We just had two beds and a bathroom. The bathroom had a “window” but unfortunately without glass in it so once it was dark and your turned the light on you could count on bugs. For one night it was okay but it is really annoying if you cannot even hang your wet towel somewhere. Also it smelled intensely like bug spray.

It really is an Oasis. We arrived there and this place is beautiful in the middle of the Canyon. They have a nice pool you can jump in after a long hike. We could order lunch there (soup, chicken and rice, vegetarian options are also given). Also dinner was good, you can choose between pork, chicken or vegetarian. They have a good wifi connection. Also towels were provided. You can pay everything by creditcard, they do charge an extra 6% for that.

The rooms were VERY basic. Like no fitted sheet on the bed, no mirror in the bathroom, no glass in one of the windows, no bedside tables or lamps, no towel hooks, no art on the walls, no shower curtain. Bare and empty. But that being said, we only spent one night here and it served the purpose we needed. Check-in was pretty slow and we were standing at the desk being ignored for some time. The dinner service was a small piece of chicken and a random collection of noodles in a sauce for s/25- there weren’t any other options though (besides no chicken). Many ways to easily improve a lot of features but understand being in the bottom of a canyon makes it harder.

The location in the canyon and the pool were definitely the highlights. The staff was also very friendly after the initial interaction.

The pool war great after the hike. It was possible to have the breakfast very early at 5 am to start hiking early. Original we have booked one day earlier, but it was possible to switch our day of arrival in short term.

Great location, we got an upgrade upon arrival from a room with a shared bathroom to a private bathroom which was really nice. The room was as cleans as it gets, the shower was fine and the bed was good. The dinner served was basic, but fine enough. The staff was really helpful.

The welcoming of the staff was pretty cold and impersonal. The prices: Almost 4€ for a 2L bottle of water. The breakfast was 2 pancakes with marmelade and a tea (or coffee). No more. You have to know that's a touristic place.

Don’t expect luxury but it’s a great place to stay. We enjoyed the outdoor area with the swimming pool and had a nice, basic hut with a comfortable bed.

The food was pretty bad, especially for Peru, both dinner and breakfast were bland and non-nutritious (take snacks). There's no soap or toilet paper in common (shared) bathroom and also there are bed bugs in room 102. I got over 30 bites overnight and my partner got bitten as well.

When you arrive after a nice hiking day in the canyon Paraiso Lodge is a very good option 😊 you’ll have a pool nice drinks and tasty dinner in the evening (price is ok, but not really cheap). Since you don’t have many options, it’s fine

One of the resorts in the oasis at the bottom of the canyon. Bit tricky to find reception but Google Maps marker accurate. Very casual, friendly owner. The pool, cold beers and large fried chicken dinner were great. Extra star for the 5am breakfast so hikers can set out before sunrise. 👍
