Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It could be a little tricky to spot the entrance at night.
Simple accommodation that is a quick taxi ride from the airport. Staff seemed flexible to very late arrival times.

very close to the airport just a 10 minute drive away. Basic facilities but fine for one night. Genius discount made it very cheap to stay. Plenty of fish based eateries close by. I would say ideal for a cheap night before an early morning flight but not for a longer, more scenic stay as on very busy road and not a particularly attractive part of town

Loud music in the neighborhood until late in the night.
Perfect for the night between flights. Safe pick up and return to airport arranged by the hostel.

Airport shuttle included
Nice big bathroom, gave us plenty of soap, arranged for taxi. I thought there was a shuttle from the advertisement, so maybe I misread, but we did end up paying for a taxi to and from the airport. Very welcoming and nice staff.

They didn’t have any water for drinking and the doorbell didn’t work or no one heard the first few times I tried so I was waiting outside for a bit which isn’t safe
The rooms were nice and everything was clean. I actually got a room to myself! They gave a towel and soap which was nice and unexpected. They helped me with my luggage.

Great stay for when you have a layover in Lima and don’t want to sleep at the airport. Great value for money and the receptionist was very nice despite me checking in at 23:30.

There’s a funny smell in the area - it looks like it might be next to a waste collection centre.
Fine for one night if you need to be at the airport but I wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Great location for connecting with the airport. Only a 10 minute taxi drive. Host was super friendly and helpful with everything. Great little touches like a bottle of water on arrival and helping to flag down/organise airport transfers. Would highly recommend.

Nice property, clean and well looked after, perfect for a flight stopover. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and organised a taxi for me from the airport.

location was a bit loud for light sleepers, but that’s easily fixed with ear plugs. plus you’re in the city so it should be expected!
clean, extra blanket for the bed as the temperature dropped a fair bit! Ariel was wonderful about contacting us for airport pickup and drop off. excellent value for money and super close to the airport. no bells and whistles, but for $18USD, it can’t be beat.

I liked the fact that the room was clean and spacious. The location is superb since it is very close to the airport. The owners are amazing and warm hearted and very helpful. These kind of people are rare.

The neighborhood isn't the best. But I went to a nearby restaurant and they were very friendly.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was clean. They gave me a clean towel and some shampoo. WiFi worked well. Just remember, you have to ring the doorbell outside the door to be let in.

The lady at the reception was really nice and helpful. Close to the airport, not a five star hotel but very good value for an overnight stay in Lima (I had a connecting flight the next day)
