The shower was hot and had volume, but I had to let the owner know we wanted to take a shower. They cut off gas. Our room was on the 4th floor even though we could hear the noise clearly from the streets and the other rooms.

The bed was double size bed for per person and very comfortable. The owner gave us good information about ATM and restaurants. Also, she let me borrow a hair dryer.

This is a very, very basic hotel. No drinking water available, a very simple breakfast of bread and jam (no butter) and juice/coffee. Our room was very noisy and started to smell of sewage during the night while we were sleeping and when we opened the windows to try to get rid of the smell it was extremely noisy. As we were checking out early in the morning and had nowhere else to go, we just had to deal with it. I messaged the hotel afterward about it and received no response. The flooring in the bathroom is anti-slip tiles (I think) and very uncomfortable to walk on and we were debating whether the floor towel had mould on it or was just speckled black.

The front desk staff was very kind and helpful on check-in. The location is convenient in the heart of Aguas Calientes.

Telephone in the room wasn't working. Light above bed wasn't working. Bugs and knats flying all over bathroom shower walls. Loud noises in early morning hours next to room .

Very dated and basic facilities. Small window looked out onto cement wall. No sound proofing but I understand that is the norm in most hotels here.

The location is right over the bridge from the bus to/from Machu Picchu and less than a 10 minute walk to the train station. The owners are onsite and are extremely hospitable.

The pillow was very thin and it was very noisy most of the time. Also the bathroom window never fully closed and there were no nets so some bugs got in which was uncomfortable.

The best thing about this property is the hostess. She is so helpful. We also liked how clean everything was, and the room had a very good bed and pillows. Everything is very simple but clean and neat. The breakfast is simple too, just an egg, juice, coffee and rolls but it’s all we needed. Thank you Patrica, we appreciated our stay with you very much.

I got a small room / twin bed which I found it hard to sleep in.

The showers here get super super hot which is nice. The family who runs the hotel is super kind and helpful.

Aguas Calientes is a very noisy town (especially on a Saturday night!) which made it difficult to sleep. Not the fault of the property as I feel like this will apply to many properties in the area
