The building in which was our room was still under construction. The corridor had no glass in windows and the staircase lacked railing.

The construction of our room was recently finished which made it look brand new and very clean. The staff was helpful. Water in the shower was pleasently hot.

There is a bit of a mild dew smell in the bathroom but we kept the door closed and it was fine.

Clean rooms and very comfortable and the softest bed sheets! Host allowed us to leave our luggage after check in. Quiet neighborhood about 20 min walk from the city center. There is a local market nearby with cheap food. There is also a huge TV, and great wifi connection. Overall I would stay here again! Host is very responsive. Good value for price!

Staff is very loud in the morning. Checkout time is early and once they start cleaning it's very noisy due to very thin walls. Impossible to sleep past 7am.

Kitchen could definitely be improved, eg. proper cutlery and pots, it could definitely be cleaner and last but not least a working stove would be amazing.

The owners are friendly and responsive. We could store our stuff at the accommodation, during our trip to colca canyon for a couple of bucks. The room was equipped with everything we needed, even Netflix was available. The room and the bathroom were very clean.

The bed was soooo comfortable that was even hard to leave in the morning! Seriously, it was the best bed I’ve slept so far!! Everything was very clean, very helpful to have the little kitchen available for use as well. Staff were amazing, made us feel very welcome and incredibly helpful. Tania helped us with tours, made suggestions in the region and made herself available on WhatsApp every time we needed.

The room was rather small and the accomodation is about a twenty minute walk away from the city center but we knew all of this before we made the reservation. Nevertheless, I think that for the price, this is more than fair.

The room was clean and comfortable and the Wifi was quite fast. There is also a kitchen that you can use.

Excellent, wonderful family run hotel. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms stylish with great, big televisions and strong wifi. The staff/family were very warm and hospitable and it was very quiet and peaceful. The best price with value in town, definitely. We would come back anytime!

Top notch value. For around $10 a night you get a quiet room, excellent bed and pillows, hot shower, ready access to a nice kitchen, and friendliness from the staff. If you're cool with being a safe 20 minute walk to the plaza and you value what Casa de Turistas offers, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option in Arequipa.

Dont book here if you are on a hop on hop off as you will arrive at 5-6am and they dont have a place to wait. I informed them about the arrival time but still no one was awake. They offered us a storage room to wait for 3 hours 🤔

Keep in mind it's some distance from the historical center. Expect to walk 15-20 minutes. The location is a little bit confusing at first because it's in a little oneway street that is almost hidden and the hospedaje itself has no signage. There is nol communal area, so not ideal if you are looking to meet people.

Price is fair. There is a small kitchen available for making tea or cooking. The staff was friendly.

The room is excellent -- perhaps the best bed and pillow I've encountered in my extensive travels. There's a great quiet in the space as well, and access to a well-equipped shared kitchen. The neighborhood is safe and reasonably close -- easy walking distance -- to the main plaza and the various cultural, religious and culinary siites around it. To top it off, a great value at around $10 USD per night. Thank you, Casa de Turistas!

The place cancelled the reservation 1 day before our arrival. We had to find another place, but because of the last minute search it became expensive. It was cancelled because the deposit had to be paid to the bank account, but I didn't know how to do it from my bank in soles. No other method was given. I have booked through this platform many many times and I never had to do a bank transfer. Money were always charged from my bank card or I paid on arrival. Super annoying experience.
