How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything was wonderful- really amazing, helpful staff.
Very clean and quiet, situated in the northeast part of Iquitos. Wonderful staff that let us use the pool before check-in and again after check-out and let us store our bags. The included breakfast also gave us options.

Localization is perfect. A place is really nice, with refreshing swimming pool. I booked a standard room, but due to some issues on the hotel side, I was given a superior one (lucky me), so my opinion is kind of biased. Breakfest not big (especially in choice) but I liked it. Staff is friendly, speaking English. Do I reccomend it? Yes, I do.

What a great place. It has exceeded my expectations. It is very affordable, clean, the staff weee super friendly the breakfast was simple but super high quality. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location doesn’t get any better. We were sad to leave.

Nothing really, it fit our needs quite well given that we were only spending one night in Iquitos, and mainly wanted to walk around a bit to explore the city.
The Hotel Jungle House was perfect for us. We were only spending one day in Iquitos before heading out to the Amazon, and the Jungle House gave us a perfect base to explore the city. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the made to order breakfast was delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel was also located on a blocked off street, which required a short walk from the taxi, but ensured that the hotel was peaceful and quiet. It was also located in the "tourist" district of the city, which made it easy to walk around and explore that portion of the city.

Sheets were washed but had a few stains and the room was slightly small, but I think it’s good for a couple nights.
Very good location to walk around town. Airco worked well. The property was responsive and arranged transfer from the airport, the driver was very helpful :)

The atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Breakfast was fantastic and fresh. Reception was more then helpfull and attentive to my needs. Well done Jungle house.

Perfect location. Right on the river and close to plaza mayor but quiet. Good breakfast. Lovely pool and foliage. Coffee all day. Helpful and friendly staff.

The room was very clean and the staff was great and helped us in everything we needed. The location is very central so you will go everywhere by foot. I don’t know how to say this but it is probably the best omelette I had in my life!

The Room is a bit small and the toilet door isn't really closing
Great air conditioning in the room, friendly and very helpful staff. Shower had the best water pressure in peru (including hot and cold!)

Location, Staff, Cleanliness and Comfy Bed were the items that will keep me coming back. I stayed there 1 night and then headed into the jungle for 12 days. During that stay I left my phone chargers in the room. When I came from the jungle to stay two more nights, they had my phone chargers waiting for me. Very attentive, helpful and friendly

It was so central.. very close to the water and the main promenade , and easy walking distance to everything. We loved the pool and had a quick dip before heading out and at odd moments during the day to cool off.

Very clean. Centrally located, but also away from all the hustle and bustle so your stay was quiet and peaceful. You could hear the birds chirping in the morning. Staff was efficient and friendly on the first leg of my trip. I left two phone chargers in my room. I continued to travel in Peru for the next 10 days and when I came back to the hotel, they had already set my phone chargers aside as they knew I was going to check in for another stay. The pool was refreshing as was the breakfast which was freshly prepared. Lastly, the beds were super comfortable.

Wow! This was an excellent little hidden gem! I absolutely loved the staff, the food, and the room. It was a quiet retreat in the heart of the city. I will absolutely return to this sweet little spot! Love love love the garden!

Poor water retainer in the bathroom between the shower and the rest of the room. The floor would get wet right away.
