The owner let us check in hours early and even fed us a delicious breakfast upon arrival. Rooms were clean and cool which was nice after a long day of travel. We will 100% stay again next time we are in Iquitos.

It is a two-story building without an elevator. We were on the second floor, but the staff was available to manage our luggage so it wasnt a big deal. If you have trouble with steps, you can request a first floor room.

What a fantastic local family owed and run hotel.  After we booked our stay, the staff contacted us (English and Spanish) and offered to arrange an airport taxi at a reasonable fixed rate paid to the driver in cash. WhatsApp, email, and voice communication with the front desk all are options. The airpirt taxi pick up was prompt. The taxi was clean, airconditioned, and confortable. On arrival, the staff was very friendly and welcoming.  The hotel is located 2 blocks off the main city square which is 2 blocks away from the central noise.  The room was consistent with the period. It was very clean, lots of hot water for a shower, excellent air conditioning and a small refrigerator.  A complete breakfast was included - we had fruit salad, bread and marmalade, an omlet cooled to order by the hotel owner, juice, and fresh avacado.  The staff arranged a taxi back to the airport for us. It was a great stay and we appreciated the opportunity to experience the local flavor.

Excellent value hotel with exceptionally clean rooms. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the hot shower was consistently great. Breakfast was very nice, and the laundry service was both efficient and affordable. The only minor improvement would be adding glasses in the bathroom for brushing teeth. Highly recommend for travelers seeking comfort in Iquitos.

I love the hotel workers. They are extremely nice. The location was nice, just a few blocks from the center in Iquitos. I stayed there by myself, so I did not need any fancy place. Just how clean and safe there was more important to me, so it was fit for me.

The only thing I didn't like was that I didn't get to try the breakfast because I was on a strict diet, but it looked great!!

This place is a gem! Such a good value. The place is fresh and clean. No frills, but all that you need. Honestly the BEST shower that I had the entire time I was in Peru! The staff were friendly and accommodating. As soon as I got in I dropped my laundry at the front desk and they had it cleaned and folded for me by the next morning and it was only about 10 Sol, which was wonderful! I'm so glad that I found the Fitzcarrald and will definitely stay again the next time I am in Iquitos!

The staff was the best! They responded very quickly and organized everything for me (airport pick up, luggage, etc.). The breakfast was lovely with super sweet organic fruits. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Overall, the value for money was great. It’s a good place to stay if you want to go into the Amazon.

I’ve been to Iquitos many times and stayed in several hotels in the area, and the staff at the Fitzcarrald are by far the warmest, friendliest, and most hospitable. The breakfasts are lovely - tasty fruit, eggs however you like them, good bread, tamales and coffee. The service is great! The property is in a good area too, it’s very close to town but in a quiet area, a short distance from the malecón. It’s also very easy to get taxis directly outside the hotel. My bed was super comfortable and I slept so well here :) The air conditioning functions perfectly and the rooms are kept very clean every day. The staff were really kind and helpful when my flight got cancelled - I had checked out but they gave me my room back for no extra cost for the rest of the day, until my rescheduled flight later that night. I loved it - it’s understated, very comfortable and super friendly.

We have stayed at this hotel for three days during our trip to Iquitos (province of Loreto, Peruvian Amazonia). The hotel is located in 5 minutes by a motocarro (tuk-tuk) ride from Iquitos ENAPU ferry terminal where all boats arriving from Peruvian border village Santa Rosa berth at and 400 m away from the city's famous landmark Ferrous House and very close to the Itaya riverbank promenade. All buses going to the local lake and leisure area Quistoqocha stop some steps aside the hotel's entrance door. - My and my friend's rooms were clean and tidy, cleaning was done everyday. - All facilities in the rest room were functioning OK, there was hot water in the shower. - Hearty breakfasts were served everyday with a choice of cooked eggs (omelette, fried egg, scrumbled egg with cheese, tomatoes or pork), bread with butter and jam, fruit salads, tropical fruit juices and a choice of coffee (black or with milk). - The receptionist Andre spoke a very good English and was ready to help. - The lady who owned the hotel was polite and kind, she was exchanging us USD into Peruvian currency at a good rate, helped to catch a bus passing by a park with local Amazon animals, fish and plants and before our departure gave a repellent tube to use it on our way back to Colombia.

It was a great place to stay! The beds were very comfortable. We slept great. We missed our flight and didn't have a place to stay that night. We went back and they were so good to us. Giving us another room for a great deal. She made us breakfast and it was very good and so much of it. Very close to the square and a lot of other places. This is a great place to stay!

Spotlessly clean and air con was really good! The breakfast was amazing too! Fabriola is so kind and lovely. She treated me like my mom:) Other staff and especially Pierre was super friendly and helpful too. They helped me organize the boat trip in Amazon river and to the butterfly farm. I had a great time staying in Fitzcarrald Hotel and will definitely come back :)
