The staff was friendly and professional, and they surprised us with a sweet honeymoon setup in our room, which made us feel truly cared for rather than just another check-in. Breakfast was good and satisfying, and we appreciated how the staff proactively offered to pack us breakfast bags when we had an early start, something we didn’t even know was an option! The rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Casa Matara is such a gem! We arrived very early in the morning and they welcomed us with coffee and tea before storing our luggage while we walked around town, then had our rooms ready well before lunchtime. The beds were super comfy, the showers hot, the breakfast plentiful and the staff so kind. It is technically located just outside the historic center, but everything was very easy to walk to. We loved it!

The staff is absolutely amazing. They assisted us with everything from laundry, personal taxis, tours, etc. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was great. We loved the variety of free teas placed around the hotel. Walking distance to Plaza de Armas and San Pedro Market.

Unfortunately the shower in our room needs maintenance. The water goes out from the shower and the floor of the bathroom was always full with water after having shower.

The hotel is in the center of Cusco and very close to the center. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They always organizied our taxis and take away breakfasts.

The walls are a little thin, and you could sometimes hear people getting up and around, especially with everyone leaving early for their tours. Not too bad though.

The property was very clean, and while the room was a bit small, it’s a great value for a space to land during your adventures in Cusco. They had hot tea stations on every floor, and a delicious made to order breakfast each morning. They even packed a to go breakfast for our mornings with early tours. It was also in a great location, close enough to all the sites, but far enough away that you didn’t have to hear all the traffic and people at all hours of the day. There is also a grocery store a couple blocks away that was really convenient. The staff were also so friendly and helpful!

You could hear the neighbour rooms' voices a bit too clearly, even if you sneezed someone replied "bless you".

The staff was friendly and very helpful, for example contacted the tour operator by phone after we had waited pass the tour pickup time. The room was clean, big and comfortable beds, warm shower etc. Our tours began so early that we didn't have a chance to eat the hotel's breakfast but they gave us breakfast to go the time we wished. The location in the city center was also very good.

About a 10 minute walk from the central square. That was great for us because we wanted to sleep away from the hustle and bustle. Just worth noting.

Charming little bed and breakfast. Casa Matara is a great place to rest your head after a day exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu. The staff is so kind and helpful, proactively reaching out to schedule our airport transfers and other activities. When we arrived, we were greeted with piping hot cups of coca tea. The rooms are small but cute and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious: local fruit, yogurt, and coffee served by the friendly staff.

The shower screen seems to have been installed the wrong way which lead the bathroom floor to be a bit wet, but other than that nothing to complain about.

The rooms were spacious and the beds were huge and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a lot of variety. Carmen and her family were super welcoming and nice, even prepared breakfast boxes for us at 4am, were available all the time. The location is very good, near enough to the Plaza de Armas and Avenida El Sol but not so close as to be a very noisy street. Excellent place, would stay again if we ever return to Cusco!

The staff were extremely helpful, and helped us arrange taxis from and to the airport, as well as from and to Poroy station (which is a ~20min drive from the center) to catch our 6am train to Machu Picchu and to pick us up from the station at 8pm at night when we returned.

Everything was more then we expected.

We booked two different hotels. One before out jungle tour and one after. Spending triple on the after hotel expecting a real new upgraded experience. After the first night at the fancy hotel we were extremely dissappointed because Casa Matara Boutique was such a great experience and extremely affordable that we were disappointed that we didn't book both before and after there. This hotel was clean, the staff extremely friend, and breakfast was made specifically for you, almost as if you were family. We loved the stay and would've been happy of have paid more to stay there.

The only con was the wall outlets. Some were flimsy and could connect our chargers.
