Wonderful breakfast, hot water, comfy beds, kind staff, and about 4 blocks from the plaza. I think this is a renovation and rebranding from a previous Casa Wayra BnB that you might see in guide books. I didn’t stay there so can’t compare, but this was a great value for everything we needed.

Very thin walls so take ear plugs . There's a school sports facility nearby too so can be very noisy during the day. Rooms ok. Don't provide any water but this is the case all over Peru.

Friendly staff, lovely terrace and breakfast. 4 blocks from Plaze Mayor. Busy street but quieter at night than in the area near the Plaza as there are more clubs etc there. We arranged the tour to Colca Canyon with the hotel directly and were very happy with that.

Very friendly and welcoming owners of the hotel. Good breakfast - I loved the banana pancake! Since I was the only guest I got an upgrade (room with private balcony). I had an early check out so they gave me a breakfast bag for the way. Great value for money.

Very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed before and after our Colca Canyon hike. Both rooms were very nice, although the first one was a little nicer with a balcony. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable.

TV didn’t have apps such as Netflix or Amazon on so we didn’t use it unfortunately.

The property was nice and peaceful with spacious bedroom and private bathroom. Shower was hot. Doors opened onto balcony. Breakfast was a lovely start to the day. Staff were really nice and helpful. They kept the place clean, our room was cleaned too.

We stayed in two rooms at this hotel (before and after our 2 day colca canyon trip) the first room was a bit small and there wasn't a lot of airflow, but it was comfortable enough. The second room was bigger, but a bit more expensive, however, because it was on the ground floor facing the inner patio, it was very noisy, we could here everyone talking from very early in the morning. The breakfast and the staff were great and very accommodating, they stored our luggage during our Colca trip free of charge. The location is good, a short walk to Plaza de Armas and a bit of a longer walk to the main restaurants. Overall it was a good short stay, fairly priced.

Love the staff—they were extremely helpful at all times and spoke perfect English. They assisted us greatly in organizing a custom trip to Colca Canyon! The location is perfect, close to the historic center, yet surrounded by many excellent local restaurants. The room was nice, the breakfast was standard, and there was hot water.

Nice property, good value for money, good breakfast. Quiet rooms that are all internal facing away from the road. Easy walk a few blocks to the centre. Secure parking across the road (extra cost)…helpful staff. Same day laundry service was great (extra cost).

The pillows could be more comfortable. The lunchbox was a bit weird though—just a bottle of water and a pack of chips, which was unexpected. Maybe it was our fault as we asked to pack our breakfast too late in the evening and they did not have time and/or staff to prepare them.

The location was really convenient, close to everything we wanted to see and do. Breakfast was really nice with lots of food to fill you up. The staff was friendly and made sure everything was well taken care of. Overall, a comfortable stay.

We arrived in Arequipa, Peru mid-morning and were allowed an early check-in. The hostess, who I believe was the owner, greeted us warmly. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the showers were nice and hot. We stayed there for 2 nights before heading off to our next adventure, but due to a change of plans (my husband’s altitude sickness) we returned to Arequipa with no hotel reservations anywhere. We walked the 10-15 minutes from La Plaza de Armas to the Chikan hostel crossing our fingers the entire way, hoping they had an open room. They did and greeted us like family once again. The second room was just as nice as the first. We also had a delicious hot breakfast every morning we were there. Overall, a very nice place to stay in Arequipa.

I truly cannot think of anything. It was a great experience.

The hotel is in an amazing location, only a few minutes from the main square. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. Also, they let us check in at 9 am after the night bus we took, so the chance to refresh ourselves was so, so appreciated. The breakfast is served on the rooftop with an amazing view and the breakfast itself is super tasty.

We were very happy with this hotel located a 10-minute walk away from Plaza de Armas (main square). The room was a decent size, had a comfortable bed, was quiet. The shower was good & always had hot water. A good breakfast with eggs (they’ll cook you pancakes if you ask) is served on the nice roof terrace with views over the surrounding volcanoes - we loved having breakfast up here! The owner, his wife & staff are friendly. You do have to ring the bell to get inside the hotel in the night time, which we normally don’t like but it was never a problem here as we never had to wait long & the area is safe. We recommend staying here.
