How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bed and pillows were a bit hard
Where the property is situated, that you can park directly out the front of your unit, the fireplace and the bathroom is spacious, the fact that it has cooking facilities and is regularly serviced

If I had to choose something - We were very close to the pool and there were sometimes screaming children but it’s a holiday place so it wasn’t a problem.
Great apartment. It was quiet and comfortable and clean and well taken care of. Was an absolute pleasure to come home to after a day of exploring, and the facilities were awesome.

The property is not located in the hustle and bustle of town but more in the suburbs and still very close by. This suited us perfectly, but maybe not everyone.
Everything you need in a very nice self-contained townhouse. And very possibly the best water pressure in a shower I have ever experienced anywhere in the world!

Would be so good if there was a guest laundry in site or a small washing machine tucked in a cupboard Frustrating that you hear the noise of children running up and down the two storied apartment next door and crying babies, poor sound proofing from original building years ago

Minor detail - the hairdryer was terrible. Only worked on the lowest setting

Felt a bit isolated .. the reception felt more like caretaker than hospitality and property brochure wasn’t particularly helpful especially re directions to public hot tub , use of pool , fireplace etc . Mattress needs replacing I think ( very lumpy) but I let them know at the end of our stay so it might already be new!
Quiet comfortable warm easy parking. Great bathtub. Lovely hot water . Bedroom needed the portable heater they provided as no split system in bedroom.

Slightly further out of town, on a nice day definitely walkable along the lake front. Being winter, slightly chilly to do that. Would have preferred a top sheet on top of the quilt. Personally I dont like sleeping under the heavy bedspread, but with no top sheet on top of the open quilt it felt unmade. Also the extra bedding from the twin being made into a king was just thrown into the wardrobe. Just looked unsightly but not an issue.
Loved the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom concept. Great living area with full working kitchen. Washing machine and dryer. Gas fireplace. Lock up garage. Quiet area, very peaceful. Clean amenities and serviced daily. It was really nice to be able to relax at ‘home’ after big days skiing.

It would be good to have some supplies for self cleaning or even have the apartment cleaned more thoroughly over longer stays. We asked if we could get the floors cleaned during our stay though and they came and did them for us.
Me and my friends stayed here for 10 days and we absolutely loved it. The spa and fireplace were great amenities and the accommodation was so comfortable. 10/10 would book again 😀

I should have booked a 2 bedroom apartment as it came with a garage as well.
Very accessible location for Wanaka with good space inside the apartment. One felt at home without being at home with fridge, cutlery and good heating in winter.

A beautiful, cosy apartment. Fantastic for our family with small kids. Loved that it was serviced so that I didn't have to worry too much about cleaning up before I went out for the day.

Wi-fi was pretty average. It kept dropping out. Coffee machine setting could have been better - volume of coffee too much, milk temp too low (took 10 min to heat milk).
Accommodation was superb. Comfortable and clean.

We did find it rather hard warming up our bedroom at times. Could do with a heater in there.
We loved how warm the front area was with the fire place, heater etc. felt very homey. Also having sky sport was great.
