Easy key pickup and run through of the property with the host on arrival. Great location and well setup for a weeks stay in beautiful Wanaka. Nice and private, plenty of space, and drying room a huge benefit when winter sports are involved.

Our stay at 30 Golf Street was fantastic! The heaters were excellent, and the services were amazing. We loved the laundry and cooking facilities, plus the TV and books for entertainment. Plenty of parking was available, and the host was amazing and kind. The outdoor space was great. Highly recommend!

None, I absolutely loved the accommodation.

Nice and private accommodation. That is spacious, modern, and comfortable. All the amenities we required for our mountain getaway. Added bonus was the drying room, ideal to dry the snow clothing. Would definitely stay there again, and do plan to.

This was a great place for us. Near to Wanaka centre but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Lovely surroundings. Everything we needed for a short stay. Lovely comfortable bed.

Perhaps the signage 30 at the walnut tree could be bigger and more obvious.

The bugs sometimes would fly inside when we open the cottage door.

The property is a standalone cottage suite nestled in a private and peaceful lot behind the owner’s main house. With its own driveway, it offers both convenience and seclusion. Equipped with all the essential amenities, it provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Such a well thought-out and beautiful property! Privacy, space, comfort, and a wonderful garden! John, the host, is very attentive and responsive, and even left us a little welcome gift to celebrate our honeymoon! Only a couple minutes drive to town, the location was excellent. We would love to come back to Wanaka's Private Escape.

We had an excellent 4 night stay, in this lovely unit. It is at the rear of the owner’s large property, is very private and has loads of parking. Great location behind the golf course. Really quiet. Beautiful gardens. Outdoor spaces to sit. The unit itself is practical, comfortable and stylish. A huge king bed, reading lights, books, good little kitchen, great sofa, a tv (we didn’t use), a washing machine (we did use), it’s all good quality and carefully selected. John is a kind and communicative host. A fabulous stay, thanks John.

This property is a small unit on a family acreage. The unit has been very nicely done and has everything you could want. The property is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens, was clean and very comfortable. John was an hospitable host providing us with everything we could have wanted but was still unobtrusive. It was about a 20 minute walk into Wanaka with everything Wanaka has to offer. I would definitely stay again. Such a lovely and peaceful location.

It was perfect

The property far exceeded our expectations. It was private, nestled among beautiful gardens and a stunning driveway! The unit had everything you needed for an extended stay with high quality toiletries, bedding, linen and large fluffy towels. It also had a great range of books, with many of my favourite authors. John, the host, was attentive and informative. An amazing find.
