Whangarei had just had some massive rain so we had a lovely waterfall right next to the yurt that was cool. It is off grid so facilities are minimal but they were sufficient.

It was so peaceful and just magical it was like I was in a fairy kingdom. The view was outstanding we got to see the most exquisite sunset 🌇. And the warm fireplace with a glass of wine 🍷at night was a perfect treat just set the ambience. It was so warm and cozy. Very friendly Host. Not to mention the outdoor door hot tub. I would highly recommend 👌. We loved 😍 our stay ❤️!

The toilet situation was interesting with having to put all paper into a bin rather than down the toilet.

Great quiet location and the Yurt was spacious and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, nice fire and great touches like the breakfast, use of robes and towels.

The place is sign posted clean up after yourself in kitchen etc Great ! As it should be Some previous person left the bbq dirty as But it was good their were cleaning stuff their for me to clean it and after I used it I cleaned it 🤪 still nice place hard too find fault

The food left to make our breakfast was fantastic, the facilities were great and notes made it easy too use. Loved the wood fired hot tub

Theres alot to love about the Yurt Wai Rua. The location is beautiful with the small lake for the yurt and the entire property that you can walk around being so pristine and calming, a great start to our trip out of the big city! A world-class off-the-grid experience, i can't wait to go back!

The cooking facilities were sparse and one of the two hobs did not work. The fridge had no freezer space. The bathroom had a clear glass window door, which was not great if the owner popped down to say hello.

The yurt was lovely, and the hot tub was very nice in the evening. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. The owner was friendly and helpful.

We loved the serenity, the comfort, and the different experience. Beautiful surroundings.. The host was very friendly and the Bacon and eggs fresh from the farm was a bonus.

Absolutely beautiful green property with the kindest hosts! We felt so welcome and cared for during our stay. Yurt was very cozy, quaint and well equipped. Absolutely everything. The yurt itself was gorgeous and so cozy and warm. The fantastic host he'd pre lit the fire so we walked into a beautifully warm space. The hot tub was ready to go as well. Just an all round fantastic experience. I would happily return time and time again.

I loved the whole experience of staying in a yurt, beautiful atmosphere all around bush walks the trees ponds animals a lovely hot tub under the stars, love the solar power set up nice & warm having the fireplace Also at night I enjoyed the relaxation away from work awesome 👌 recommend this to anyone who wants to get away for peace & to relax love it! ❤️ I will be back again, thanku very much...
