Charming, comfy and well-sited by the Tongariro river on a fairly quiet residential street. Easy drive to Waimarino-National Park village for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Whakapapa ski area.

Only one tiny thing, the flood light from the adjacent unit points directly at the windows of the cabin. The flood light is motion sensitive so anything, including the resident cat, can trigger the light to come on in the middle of the night. This ends up lighting up the cabin even with the blinds closed. I recommend they repoint the light directly down to the area needing lighting to avoid disturbing guests.

Stayed in the fisherman’s cabin which was just soooo nice and cozy. Modern and clean. All the amenities you need. I can’t speak for what the other attached units are like but the detached cabin, which is the only one of a kind at the property is located at the back close to a stream. Super cool. It’s small but honestly it’s perfect for a winter stay.

I travel a lot for work and The Quarters is up there with the best. The studio was immaculate, modern and really comfortable and the host Jo was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend and will stay again.

The only small downside for us was the mattress topper, which was very soft and made the bed feel a bit too sink-in for our preference. But otherwise, it was a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the apartment as we have two young kids. The apartment was beautifully presented and modern, enough space for a family of four. The kitchenette was well-equipped with everything we needed — even some thoughtful touches like coffee and butter provided for guests. The apartment was very clean and comfortable overall, and our kids especially loved playing with the Legos!

Few bugs around, hard to avoid given the nearby river. Bug spray was available. Front door could do with a blockout blind over the window.

Great value for money, perfect for a short stay. Short drive to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Room was small, but well communicated so no surprises. Communal kitchen had everything you needed.

The position of the lounge made it hard to watch tv as it was at 90 degrees to the tv but not really an issue.

It is loud and a sleep in is not an option, that largely because its an active place and people are up early to adventure. Walls in the studio are thin.

Lovely upgrade to the premises with new owners. Comfortable bed, beautiful surroundings. The room is little but you do know that coming in.

We loved everything about the property. The studio was so nice and clean and furnished beautifully. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was great. The grounds were really well looked after and a beautiful outdoor bbq and seated area. It was a close walk to he shops if we needed everything. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay here. 10/10

Room was on the smaller side but we expected as much based on the description. We did not use the shared kitchen because all we wanted was to brew black coffee with some hot water. Room could do with some creature comforts like a kettle perhaps.

Room was incredibly clean and tidy. Furnishing was also minimalist but modern. Internet was very good despite the location. Fan was good for ventilation and room kept the warmth in throughout the night. Spacious backyard for families and couples to stretch their legs. Only 10 minutes from the tongariro trail head.

Very stylish studio room but tight space wise. Also found it to be quite noisy- footfall shaking and noise from room next door (not that those people were partying - just moving around).
