Wendy is an absolutely fantastic host! I felt right at home. The house is equipped with every possible comfort to make your stay enjoyable, tastefully furnished and embellished with Wendy's patchwork quilts. The location is excellent: very close to the beach and a walk from the center of Devonport. Perfectly quiet at night, with the pleasant sound of birds singing during the day. In addition, Wendy and Mike's courtesy and kindness made our stay wonderful. I really miss it!

The apartment is extremely well equipped with quality items. It has a cosy atmosphere and is very private and quiet. There is a bus stop close by which you can catch to Devonport and the Ferry or Takapuna.

Charming, extremely well appointed; home away from home. Great location near some great beaches on the North Shore. Lovely to find generous breakfast supplies, including Nespresso coffee, and home baked treats. Especially after a day of travel. Lovely to wake up to native tui birdsong.

We liked everything

The Partchery was a wonderful place to stay. The hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable and at home. The property was very clean and comfortable with a very comfortable bed. The hosts thoughtfully provided some useful breakfast supplies and treats. It was nice staying in a place with character, with the art work and patchwork pieces creating an inviting ambience. We enjoyed sitting in the little outdoor area in the cool of the day. The location was very good. Devonport was an interesting place to explore with lots of history. It is an easy and short trip by ferry across to the city of Auckland. We would definitely recommend staying at The Partchery.

We enjoyed our stay at the Partchery and highly recommend it. Wendy is very helpful and has thoughtfully provided everything, all to a high standard. Plus lots of little extras - we loved the fruit, croissants and bubbly.. It is very private and has its own lovely outdoor setting. Only 6 minutes from Devonport, we shall come again. Since there is only one road getting into and out of Devonport, traffic can be a problem. Fine if you stay local.

Light and airy feel. Lots of welcoming extras. An expresso coffee machine! Friendly, helpful hosts. Nice walks in the area.

What a gem of a place. Loved the extra touches - milk, cereals, teas, coffee, coffee maker, chocolates, comfy bed and lounge with large smart TV as well as a washing machine. The beautiful patchwork and art throughout was wonderful. Wendy was so lovely and gave us lots of good info on the area too. One of our absolute favourite Airbnbs in NZ.

Mike and Wendy are the perfect hosts who have clearly put their heart and soul into making this property a very special retreat. The Cleanliness and quality of finish of the property was immaculate. The appliances were top quality and a joy to use. As a result, I have gone and bought the same Nespresso machine! The location is perfect with the ferry service to the city just a comfortable walk away. We would definitely stay here again. Well done Mike and Wendy, you are amazing.

Wendy and Mike are wonderful hosts who have thought of everything to make guests feel welcome and help them make the most of their stay. The Partchery is spotlessly clean, comfortable and homely. I was treated to some delicious food and drink as a welcoming gift that really helped me out with my supplies for the long weekend. While the area is primarily residential, it is well connected to the Devonport ferry terminal and other parts of the city via the local bus routes. I can particularly recommend the local Thai takeaway that Wendy told me to try! Guests looking for a quiet home away from home during their time in Auckland will find it here. Thank you Wendy and Mike!

What can I say, it exceeded all expectations, Fantastic hosts, quiet location , all the special extras were amazing and Wendy couldn't do enough to make sure our stay was superb. Nothing was a problem. We were in Devonport for a 4 day golf tournament so was extremely close to the golf course. I can highly recommend this accommodation to anyone and will do so.

Lovely fresh fruit, delicious museli, croissants, along with a selection of tea's and coffee's. Very comfortable accommodation with delightful artwork and photo album of the surrounding local area. Wendy was a lovely host.
