The beds weren't supercomfortable and the walls were very thin. The trucks coming past in the morning were fairly loud. But good value for the price.

The snowman lodge was in a central location. The kitchen and lounge area was cosy and comfortable.

We stayed in the main building, which could probably do with an upgrade, carpets and decor were tired. Not well, soundproofed. We could hear the people in the next rooms conversation and even their morning alarm.

The location was central. Onsite restaurant Rice was fabulous. Great food, service, and well priced. Fantastic facilitates. There is a very well equipped shared kitchen and lounge. Our room had a private bathroom, but there were also shared bathroom facilities. The beds were comfortable, and our room accommodated 3 adults easily.

The shared bathrooms and hotel in general could do with a modernisation. The walls were also pretty thin, but nothing that a pair of earplugs can't fix.

Overall a decent stop-over for one night. The room was cosy and in a good location and overall good value for money.

Bed was super uncomfortable and the walls were thin so a random man pacing the corridor late at night was a little disturbing when trying to sleep

The outside lights need to be dimmed or more adequate window coverings to shut out the light into the room at night. I was facing the internal walkway.

The only lighting in the room were unpleasant ceiling lights, there was a lamp missing that wouldn't burn my pupils in the evening before going to bed

Rooms were not well insulated for noise, so we could hear the guest next door.

Basic, but clean and comfortable accommodation. We enjoyed having a spa (extra charge), after our long 2-day bike ride on the Timber Trail from Pureora to Ongarue! We also appreciated the use of the kitchen facilities.

Bad communication about late check in. We were given the wrong door code to self check in. Fortunately there were staff still there who let us in.

The entrance is a little confusing, perhaps signage could be improved.

Lovely place a little tight in room but extremely clean neat tidy, enjoyed our stay.

Location was convenient, but not very quiet for night as there were constantly trucks passing and stopping. The room was small and not set for a couple. Small bed and walking space.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean, I liked it that there was soap and shampoo available.

Air conditioning not adequate or not working properly. Shower doors need fixing, coming off the runners and it took a lot fiddling around to be able to shut doors.

Good location, very clean and comfortable. Beds were good, great access. Good parking and great communication with staff prior to arrival. Common areas I.e Kitchen, dining and lounge area was clean, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others.
