    It was quaint

The bathroom was old the water pressure was almost non existent -the bed was really uncomfortable as were the chairs and it was not too clean

The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious

Car parking was tight - and with stairs only it means I can’t book for my father who is in a wheelchair

Central to activities planned in a pleasant and convenient part of town. Comfortable bed. Ample toiletries and towels supplied.

The room thus year, had a ‘hum’ overnight, ? Origin and occasional cooking odours apparent. Sad that the bar closed at 9pm to patrons returning to the hotel on the Sunday eve.

Stunning old pub with period furniture. Beautiful spacious warm rooms with large en suite. Separate upstairs lounge to relax in.. Staff were so friendly with exceptional service.

Beautiful room, very secure. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious, as was the included breakfast the next morning. Parking onsite which enabled us to leave our car and just walk around the beautiful city of Whanganui.

One thing I would say, is the room we were in, there was a sound of vent/air conditioning coming through the wall next to the bed. It did go off eventually, but came on again around 6.30am.

    Great location food and staff

Only little things like crack in bathroom sink , door and windows need repainting

Good location. The best mulled wine I had in years. Friendly staff

Nothing in particular. Would preffer shower cubicle rather than in a bath tub.

The breakfast was very good, really enjoyed the homemade toasted muesli!

The pillows could have been a bit fluffier but that is just my personal preference

Could access craft beer Clearly a hit pub for the locals Was warm room Adequate accommodation

We seemed an inconvenience to the staff. Difficult parking Difficult access from car park Room although old worldly was somehow lacking a welcome feeling..we choose as stayed in old world inns before. Spa did not work Bed hard Expensive food so didn't stay for meal. Included Breakfast is poor... should tell guests how limited it is. I should have read the previous lower reviews which would have told me this. Check out was difficult.

Charming, rooms very tastefully decorated, such a welcome change from motels. Owner and staff friendly, efficient and went out of their way to help. Amazing chef, meals far exceeded usual hotel fare. Highly recommend.

Very low pressure in shower but would still stay here again.
