This was actually the first time ever staying in the hosts dwelling or sharing accomodation other than camp grounds n hostels. I was a bit worried at first...we are shy n like our own space. Which we utterly had felt so comfortable the hosts were so lovley. Id be back.

Andre and Sonja are amazing hosts. They helped us with drying our clothes after a ski day. The place is cozy, clean and well taken care of.

Came for a short ski trip and had a great time here. Clean, well kept and very welcoming hosts. Private room and bathroom, reliable hot water for showers, hosts keep the fireplace going which is great after a big day out. Great views of the mountain as well. Enjoyed our stay very much.

In addition to full access to the well equipped kitchen, it was also very nice to be able to make tea and coffee in our bedroom area, and the water provided in the fridge there was so fresh and nice, however we turned off this fridge to sleep, as it was a little bit noisy.

The location was certainly "rural", but that was what we wanted, so no problem at all, and it was excellent "value for money" (i.e. it wasn't expensive) but was very comfortable indeed with great facilities - including both a shower AND a bath, as well as having a separate toilet.

The room and property was very clean and tidy. My partner and I enjoyed the remote location and large property space to explore. We enjoyed being out of the township in a more rural setting. The hosts Andre and Sonje were a lovely, friendly couple and we even joined them at their local Sunday Church before we returned to Tauranga.

There wasn’t a breakfast. It’s also a little uncomfortable walking through the living room all the time. Maybe add a second exterior door on the other side of the house?

The fridge in the room is a bit loud (relative old) and could be replaced. And this is not negative, but one should be aware that the next restaurants are 15+ min drive away

Great place to relax, or as starting point to visit the Tongariro National Park. Located on a no-exit side rode, and shielded to neighboring houses, it is very quite. The owners are nice and one can also use the kitchen.

A short stretch of unsealed road to get to the property. Bathroom & toilet were in the corridor and not in the room, though for our use only

The location was very quiet and peaceful. Andre and Sonia were lovely hosts and we were able to use all the facilities of the kitchen and eat at the table. They gave us freshly laid eggs for breakfast.

Andre and Sonja are great hosts! They welcomed us into their home and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We had our own bedroom + bathroom. In addition to that we could use their kitchen & cook meals. Because the weather wasn't good enough for the Alpine Crossing, they were so kind and suggested suitable alternative walks in the area. Thanks a lot! We really enjoyed our stay with you! :-)

Andre and Sonja’s property was wonderful, and they were incredibly friendly and hospitable. It was homey and warm during our stay which was cold and rainy. They have a beautiful yard looking out into the river and greenery, very peaceful and quiet for those looking for that. We look forward to being back when we have the chance to come down again.
