The sitting space is quite cramped with a very small couch , then the table with 4 chairs squeezed into the one area with the various kitchen cooking bits and bobs. I would struggle if we had more than 2 people and the weather socked out. But this is a historic cottage and the phots clearly show the cramped space , so one needs to be vigilant when planning a group stay , as it is advertised for 6.

The history of this quaint place. Location and the garden is great to sit out in. For kids the loft is a great hide out but the steep ladder “ as shown in photos by the property “ definitely is not for anyone who needs to use the facilities at night.

The plumbing for the toilet should be improved. There is a noise coming from the external flap of the bathroom extractor fan which was very noisy as it was windy.

A lovely, historical cottage in a pretty garden. Very well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful host. Even though the cottage is right next to the road, there is no traffic noise at night

The cottage had such a warm, homely feel to it. While being an older dwelling, with so much interesting history surrounding it, it had the luxury of all the modern amenities that you'd need.

    Nothing.

Location perfect for our stay -very near the albatross colony. The cottage itself is lovely, and beatifully presented. Its garden a total delight.

If you are looking for a cute wee cottage to stay at this is perfect so nothing not to like. The space was tight with the 5 (2A3C) of us, but we were only sleeping there so it was perfect for that. They are on tank water so the toilet flushing thing was hard with the 5 of us.

We picked this property for the location, it’s walking distance to our family. The children very much enjoyed the attic bedroom. It was an adventure for them to stay there. There has been obvious care taking to preserving the original cottage with modern upgrades ie heat pump and double glazing. Owners were very helpful and friendly.

Being kept awake by the sound of pacing. Some poor soul spent alot of time waiting in that beautiful whare but my family and I felt welcomed. Due to the lack of sleep I was thankful that I didn't have to drive that day.

The garden was lovely, marvelous first impression. Charming, beautiful and very old cottage. The photo album gave some interesting history, I would love to know more about the people who lived there. Beautiful timber walls and floors, nice bathroom. Warm and cozy.

You cannot see the sea from the cottage

Great little cottage, very small kitchen area but adequately equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable but note it is ladder access to the upstairs. The host was very nice and offered us eggs from her chickens and veggies from the garden. The cottage was spotlessly clean. There was ample parking. Small shop nearby otherwise you have to drive back to Dunedin for supplies.

    Nothing comes to mind.

The history of the place. Friendly hosts. Lots of birds, delightful garden. Easy to find. Handy to the albatross colony and other scenic spots. Not too far from Dunedin. Cool in the heat of the day. Of all of the places on the summer holiday, this had the most comfortable bed. I did stay 2 nights despite what it says
