Great location. Old fashioned ski lodge appeal. Lovely sunny dining room for the included breakfast, with a view of the mountain. Good value for money.

Was a wonderful experience for our son to stay somewhere different, older ski lodge with large open fire, we dried our jackets infront of drinking hot chocolate. Aawesome games room, 20 minutes to the mountain. It was a weekend away we all enjoyed 🫶

It's a bit tired, the room had a bit of a draft which was fixed by putting on the heating, but generally it feels like it could do with some love and care. The social room is great and I think this place would be awesome during the high season but there's a little work needed to tidy it up a bit generally

the drying room was hard to find the light switches and wondered if we were allowed to use the area. it said there were meals available but i didn't see where you could order or a menu for this. in saying this we were pretty self-sufficient for our lunch and dinner meals.

beds were good and quiet room. kitchen was accessible and clean. staff were friendly and helpful with requests. it had all we needed for our stay. we were able to use the kitchen to cook our tea. spa finished off the day nicely.

Pretty chilly (no heating on in April). Everything looked shut (hot tubs, games room etc) and whilst we could have asked for them to be opened up it made them look uninviting. Breakfast ok but very basic.

The bed was shaky and make noise a lot. I wished body soap provided at the shower room.

Pipers is set up for having fun. The kids loved the games room, pool table, table tennis, spas. Cheffys meals were delicious. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Although the facilities were a little older, everything was clean and tidy

This is set out great for Skiing holidays and I can image the place buzzing when full but there were few of us there. Considering this is like a hostel type accommodation the bathroom was very good the gentleman who booked us in was really friendly and helpful. Great laundry and drying room so able to do washing.

The place is a bit dated and would benefit from some work..also our shower was blocked, turns out the was covered in hair which we removed.

The showers took awhile to get hot and they regulated themselves which meant sometimes I could get burnt or freezing cold without adjusting it myself. Maybe some glasses and a bowl could be added to the room too to make it easy for snacks and a drink.

Very good service for a good price! A small but handy room to stay in with super cozy beds, nice shower and good breakfast. The best part was the spa selection included ontop of it all. Would recommend Gollums pool which is only 15min drive to which is nice ;)

Some pillows are in good condition while some are just too flat for total 6 of us, the rest all good.

Top notch services from the whole team especially reception. Definitely worth more than what we paid for. Always felt welcome with smile for all time and the spa/sauna was bonus for us. Will like to stay again for next time.

Distance from the nearest city centre.

The free breakfast is simple, but good enough. If the customer wants something special, he can still pay extra to have it. I believe it's the closest location to Mt Ruapehu.

I felt that the room lacked more amenities, such as a place to hang coats, a bedside table or nightstand, and power outlets near the beds, as well as a small table and chairs. I also found the room to be extremely hot. Additionally, only the TV in the TV room has Netflix access.
