Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe only thing that was bad about the house is we had a downstairs room, and the room above had very noisy floorboards and got woken up early as the people upstairs were walking around getting ready to leave. The other thing which I found annoying was it was advertised with internet. When we first arrived and connected to the internet worked perfectly but during the night it got turned off. The next morning it was still off and as travellers we needed the internet to plain our day and our accommodation for that night in Wellington.
The room was nice and big. We had a shared bathroom, and it was nice and clean. It also had a large kitchen with plenty of table and chairs. Close to the city center. It is an old house that has plenty of rooms for accommodation, it was clean and comfortable.

New ZealandI was a bit confused as I thought I had entered my bank account details with Booking.Com and had paid the account. The manager said that he had no record of payment. I do recall wondering why I did not get an automatic acknowledgement of the booking at the time I used booking.com. I did have feedback from the Manager, and had been in contact with him as I changed booking to a double room at the last minute. I had to check my Visa Account to see if any transaction had been made. I was already tired from a long and at times quite stressful trip. This was not a fault on the part of Management, however I am still wondering just what happened. I was making multiple entries with my visa account on the day that I made train and bus reservations. Perhaps I overlooked something? Or what? It would have helped if Booking.Com issued some kind of notice as to the status of the booking payment. The mix-up caused tension, as my on-line banking log-in was not accepted on the Bank Website for some unknown reason, with a message about using wrong configuration. The manager was very understanding and patient, but the difficulty of connecting with my bank caused some tension between myself and the person travelling with me.
I only stayed overnight, but was impressed with the helpfulness of the manager. It was much better than I expected, as it was stated that this accomodation was "not fussy"... if I remember correctly, on one website.
