Room was very dated. No heater on when we arrived, so the room was freezing. The shower was so low that my partner had to nearly kneel to wash his hair.

Great place to stay to access Doubtful Sound. Very affordable, quality of facilities were much better than you'd expect given the relatively low cost of accommodation.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable. I slept in one of the single beds in the 2nd bedroom as the bed in the main bedroom was not very soft and had a bit of a dip in the middle. If you like to watch TV you would be out of luck. Luckily the view was to die for, so this didn't matter to us. We were able to stream the news on the free WIFI so were all good. Make sure you take your own food unless you want to go to the ONE dining place in town, at the old church. It turned out to be quite expensive for food I can cook just as well if not better. The cabin was basic. It's a bit tired and could do with some TLC but it was fine to just sleep in, which is what we needed.

The view from the cabin was incredible!! We were treated to a most stunning sunset and the view from the kitchen and living room was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for a one or two night stay. When we arrived the heater was on and the cabin was warm and cosy. The lady at reception was wonderful. She was super friendly and a pleasure to deal with!

A very quirky looking campground, but with everything we needed. Ana was very friendly and helpful at check-in. The buildings looked a bit old and slightly run down, but don't let that put you off. We stayed in a cabin which had mismatched furniture, but original paintings on the walls. French doors opened out onto our own small deck. It was really great! We went on our Doubtful Sound trip from here, but wish we could have stayed longer than two nights. We would definitely stay there again if we are ever travelling in the area in the future.

I found the toilet to be rather small, however, given it has various levels of camping and cabins, the communal bathrooms were close by and were great.

Loved the location and how each cabin looked different in some way. Some of the smaller cabins looked super cute. I left the front curtains open at night, so there was a beautiful view of the stars and would have been the same for the lake if it hadn't been a foggy morning.

We booked the cabin with shared facilities. There are two kitchens for use on the property, the small one was right behind our cabin but the bigger one was much better with multiple stoves and fridges. Both kitchens and bathrooms were very clean. This was a good base for going to Milfordsound. The cabin was basic but suited our needs.

We stayed in one of the cheaper 'huts', basically just a place with a bed and some seats. We used the communal kitchen (which was used by many people) and shower/toilet block.

A bit short on power points to charge my various devices. The electric blanket didn’t reach a power point. No heater in the bathroom or lounge/dining room.

Wonderful view from my Lakeview unit. Older style but very comfortable with good facilities. Great location for the activities I had planned. Would like to have stayed longer.

First thing first Hanna (not sure of the spelling sorry) was absolutely lovely. Then about the place : I really liked it, it has so much charm and cuteness to it. It arrived late and stay only one night but a few days in Manapouri in the summer would be really special in a place like that. The dorm was nothing special - really basic but pretty big for just 8 beds and co sideline yhe price I was happy with what I got. Good showers and bathroom area, didn't use the kitchen or laundry but both are available.

The location and friendly greet at check in and place was clean and tidy and warm with comfortable bed as per pic but booking .com did not specify rooms allocated either with balcony or not but other then that facility at the park was more then expected. The location was good as short walk into town and lovely open sky’s to see the stars (if not cloudy)

Fantastic location by beach with Mountain views. Quirky cabins with slightly tired 70’s decor and bedding. A few rows of ancient Morris Minors. We could have been on a Wes Anderson’s set!
