The mattresses on the single bunks were foam, so not comfy for the kids. Not enough hooks or shelves in the cabin for hanging coats etc.

Nothing really wrong with the room. But The wind was so strong kept us up half the night. We were worried the wind will blow away the cabin it was so strong.

Chairs with backs to sit on in the cabins. Very hard to get comfortable sitting on a low stool

We stayed in one of the cabins. They are a basic room with 1 x bunk bed, 1 x double bed and 1 x single bed. There is a small table with three stools to sit on. Odd that 5 x beds and 3 x stools! There was a small fridge, an oil finned type electric heater as well as an electric kettle. There is only one power point in the room. There was a supplied multi plug power box. We found that there was an outside tap at the end of our block of cabins for water for coffee /hot drinks etc. There was to very comfortable Cape Cod style chairs outside each unit. If you want a good shower go to the portacom shower block. It has mains water pressure. The main shower block is gravity fed and the water only sort of trickles out. Not what we wanted after a hard day at work and just wanted a hot shower. Kitchen facilities were fine with plenty of cooking/preparation space. There is also plenty of eating space with a long dining table in the kitchen. We were in the area working so was using the place a base for lunch/dinner and somewhere to sleep. I would have no problem staying here again and probably will when next working in Hawea.

The nearest toilet was a portaloo which was OK but it wasn’t properly working which meant a bit of a walk.

Stayed in the safari tent. Fabulous location, well equipped for a family. Given wood for the firepit which was appreciated on a cold evening & kids enjoyed toasting mashmellows.

Smoke alarm went off at 3am . No fault of hosts just gave us a terrible fright. Loud music playing till late.

Proximity of glamping tent to the other similar tents. It was very easy to hear fellow campers especially at night which made sleeping very difficult. The kitchen dining space did not have an electric jug instead a small 2 burner hotplate which took a long time to boil the jug. Also sink for washing dishes was outside so when it rained we were as wet as the dishes.

15 min drive from Wānaka, good base for activities around this area. Cabin is cozy enough with heating available. Could do with more power sockets in the room (the extension provided didn’t work). Short outdoor walk between cabin and bathroom. Bathroom can be a bit busy and chilly. Colourful chairs outside cabin are nice to have a slow day to relax.

A family with small children were very noisy until the wee hours. Advise perhaps a 10pm cutoff for quiet. Portaloo could have been closer, or maybe have another.

Awesome spot for the Denver glamping tents. Really good mess tent with all the equipment, nice big table and seats. Portaloo nearby. Tent itself was great. Beautiful comfy bed, very romantic .
