Hi Paulette, we appreciate the kind words towards the staff and facilities. We dont opne our Cafe and bar as it requires staffing in front of house and kitchen when people are either in the beautiful National Park across the road, Skiing in the winter, Walking, tramping, cycling or working during the day. There are a few cafes that stay open during the day or Hotels that cost more with more facilities and activities during the day. We charge for the room and facilities we offer. We are glad the sun was out and you could watch everyone doing these activities from our large outdoor deck.

Hi George, We do not know of any hotels that offer electric blankets in guest rooms. The hire fridges we have hardly get used, so we see no reason to purchase, clean daily and service ones for each room. Hence the price point. We are aware of some rooms noise issues, the last 4 years of trade has been very difficult to finish remedying, hence the earplugs in rooms (which are not often taken for use) We are constantly looking at improvements, like smart tvs, comfortable bedding, sustainable bathroom products, complimentary breakfasts, pressure pumps for each block of rooms (which others thoroughly enjoy), all low cost adjustments, where and when we can. We are trying, but sensibly hence our proudly 3.5 star rating with good reviews and a lower price point to most other hotels.

Next time, if the room is not warm enough for you, please call us any time as we are happy to provide extra blankets and extra heaters to ensure you are comfortable.

Thanks for the kind words. In regard to your comment on our well-loved banger n mash dish, which we put in by popular choice every winter. Some like it with vege some like it with salad and some just like it as is. We have side dishes on the menu and price everything lower so you can build your own dish.

Glad that you made use of the drying room and spa pools also! Next time give us a shout in the bar or reception or call the phone number for assistance in the room if the temperature in the room needs adjusting - we can easily show you how to use the heater.
