The reviews don’t do this beautiful hotel justice. From the moment we arrived to the moment of departure, the team made our stay very, very special. Nothing was too much trouble and, in a country of welcoming people, these guys excelled. Can’t recommend highly enough!

It was a wonderful stay from the moment you arrive and Jay gives you a big New Zealand welcome. It does not feel like a Hotel stay it feels more personal than that. The house is immaculate and totally unique in its decor. If your staying in Queenstown this is the place to stay.

Everything was perfect, there was nothing that we would change or add.

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and it was absolutely perfect. They have thought of absolutely everything. Loved the afternoon canapes and wine, 10 out of 10. Exceptional! The house itself has been restored to perfection down to the minute details. The staff go above and beyond and you can chat as much as you like with them or enjoy the quiet time too. Breakfast was also a standout.

We had an incredible stay at Hulbert House! The staff was amazing, greeting us with wine at arrival and helping with any questions we had throughout our stay. Wonderful location, with a gorgeous view of the mountains and an easy walk to dinner each night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Queenstown!

The staff were amazing and super lovely. They went out of their way to make my stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The building itself and the rooms are just superb and so comfortable. I basically didn't want to leave but sadly had to go back to work. It's a great place to just unwind with easy access to Queenstown when you want to venture out and all adventure activities. I'll definitely be back soon!!

Still some unfinished construction in Christchurch but no faults to the property at all.

The view could not have been more spectacular from our room. The staff were more like friends from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was exceptional and we can’t wait to come back, which we will do as soon as possible. We would not stay anywhere else in Christchurch and thank you for giving me the courage to parasail; an adventure I will not forget!!!! Penne

Everything! The location is wonderful, and Laura and her staff are more than welcoming. They made us feel at home. I also loved the “happy hour” time, the breakfast and the amazing view from our room.

It’s on a bit of a hill for those walking back from town but that’s also why it has a good view so can’t complain too much about it

Nothing not to like - exceptional hospitality, location and gorgeous property.

My partner and I recently spent five nights at Hulbert House, and we cannot praise it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the service and hospitality were outstanding. The attention to detail was impeccable, with every aspect of our stay thoughtfully curated. The staff were super friendly and made us feel truly welcome. The rooms are stunning, beautiful finishings, we had a tour of the other rooms and every single room was gorgeous! Breakfast each morning was perfect, with a variety of delicious options, and the personal touch of offering to drive us into town whenever we needed, was much appreciated. You can tell the staff here love their jobs, they were genuinely amazing with every single attention to detail. Hulbert House didn’t just feel like a hotel; it felt like home. This was honestly the best hotel experience we've ever had, and we can’t wait to return.

The place is so beautiful with a team of excellent people. The decoration of the property has demonstrated very good taste, the breakfast, pre-dinner canapes and refreshments, chocolate brownies and slices are too good. The room services pay extra attention to details. The location is perfect with a short walking distance to the town.

Everything was perfect there. The decoration, the staff, and the room were extremely comfortable. Oh of course and the view from the room was divine. Walking distance from the city center really helped a lot as well.

There is construction at the bottom of the street so it makes the walk to town a touch more challenging but it didn’t worry us.

Second time we have stayed. Nothing really not to love, the actual property, house, the views, the staff, the canapes/drinks by the fire, the convenient position, all fab.
