A fantastic little spot out of town so wonderfully quiet. Lovely welcoming dog, chooks doing what they do and a couple of steers that were friendly too. Photos of one of the steers, and an old sheep sheering shed across the road.

Absolutely STUNNING!! The bed and breakfast is situated at the top of rolling hills that overlooks flocks of sheep and cattle with mountains in the background. Extremely comfortable, and the food and drinks were generous and delicious!

Hopwood B&B was exceptionally charming, up on a hill a few minutes out of town with an array of land and sheep. Our host Leah greeted us when we arrived and had some helpful recommendations for us. We tried the new Indian joint in town and it was one of the best Indian meals of our lives. The B&B was comfy and toasty, and the breakfast in the morning went above and beyond with an array of cereals, spreads, warm drinks, juice and homemade banana & coconut muffins. Waking up on the farm was so blissful and we would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Leah!

Peaceful beautiful setting , private unit with thoughtful amenities , helpful host, breakfast was lovely . First place we have stayed in with microwave cookware provided. Access is 4 ks windy drive on sealed road but so worth the extra effort .

Beautiful pastoral stay! Leah has made such personal touches to ensure that you have everything you could need during your stay. Lovely to walk around the neighborhood, enjoy the peace and see the sheep. Well suited location for travelers, set back from the highway and close to town for a bite to eat. I would return again!

It was a little way out from the town but for us the view and quietness of the property made up for driving to a restaurant.

Located down a lonely road, high up in the hills, above the tiny town of Taihape. Talk about quiet, with stunning views all around. Leah met us when we arrived, showed us around and gave dinner suggestions. The accommodations were spotless and well maintained. Breakfast was already in the room and Leah thought of everything. She met us the next morning and showed us her prized Sheep and gave us some tips on what to see as we travelled South.
