The Adina Heritage Hotel has a lovely building and a great central location, but unfortunately, our experience with the staff was not as positive as we had hoped. While the accommodation itself was comfortable and clean, we found the team to be lacking in local knowledge and unable to provide helpful recommendations about the area or nearby services. One particularly frustrating incident occurred when we asked the receptionist to book a taxi for us at 3 a.m. for an early international flight. Unfortunately, the booking was never made, and we only discovered this when we came down to the lobby at the arranged time. This caused unnecessary stress and a late departure for the airport. Overall, the hotel itself is nice, but the lack of attentiveness and follow-through from the front desk let the experience down.

Our stay at the Adina Heritage Hotel was outstanding from start to finish. The building itself is beautiful, with its charming heritage features thoughtfully preserved while offering all the modern comforts you’d expect. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and quality amenities. The location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of Christchurch, within walking distance to shops, cafes, and attractions. We loved the sense of history in the hotel – it feels like you’re staying somewhere with a story, yet without sacrificing any of the luxury or convenience of a modern property. We will definitely be staying here again.

The only downside was that the washing machine in our apartment was broken but fortunately the staff found a solution for us which was appreciated.

Well located with only a short walk to many dinner options. We had a split level room which was very spacious and well appointed. Car parking available.

1909 Old Government Building, the exterior was so beautiful. After reading reviews, our family of four must stay at the hotel. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining, living room and a kitchen even provide washing and drying machine. Lots of space for our family. Very convenient location, short walk to shopping and restaurants. Valet parking at $30 a night.

There was no dish cloth or dish brush to hand wash our few dishes and to wipe the kitchen bench. Our only issue with the room.

We loved the history of the building. The heritage features have been respectfully restored/ maintained and blended skillfully with modern amenities. The pool was fantastic. The staff were very friendly. Excellent hotel 🏨
