04/01/25 S & C Golden Bay Glamping To Camilla and Ryan From the warm welcome and walk through to the extra consideration of putting the cover over the yurt for the pending storm. You’ve created a tranquil escape for us all. Needed for nothing as everything needed was thoughtfully provided. Thanks for the great experience. Great location just placed outside of a small town near the Abel Tasman allowing you to access many beautiful spots in the area small towns cafes arts and crafts such amazing beaches and mountain top walks. The bugs, we used an out door bug candle along with bug spray

Our stay here over New Year's was absolutely fantastic the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Great value for the price! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor shower was a real highlight. The accommodation had everything I needed, including a fridge and power outlets for charging devices. The hosts were wonderful, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Although our glamping tent was only about 10 minutes out of Takaka, it was set in a clearing surrounded by bush, so had a lovely remote feeling. The outdoor kitchen, shower and toilet were quirky but very functional and added to the fun experience. The tent was very well set up and was roomy and comfortable. Camilla was very welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed for our stay.

It’s location high in the bush, but yet offering such stunning vista of sunrises every morning during the surrounding birdsong.

Rugged cabin in the bush. Plenty of hot water in the outdoor shower. Great log burner to keep the cabin warm during our mid-winter break.

A few different cereal/granola options would have been nice, and maybe some fresh fruit to add. So many biting sandflies! (But luckily the windows were fitted with screens).

Very friendly and helpful hosts, who provided recommendations for the local area and were always available when we needed something. Comfy bed and good cooking facilities. The stars at night up in those mountains were amazing!

The only thing I would add is make sure you wear the bug spray and light the coils provided!

This place is incredible. What the hosts(Ryan and Camilla) have done with the place to keep it all off grid is very impressive. Everything had been thought out - even to providing dressing gown and sliders for getting to the outdoor bathroom set up! We opted for a meal to be cooked by Camilla on our first night - we were treated to a delicious crayfish dish which was a super special welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights stay - a true escape from the hustle and bustle. PS Warning - if you're staying in the hut - be prepared for an adventurous drive up to it!
