We had an amazing stay at Gibbston House. Mary is an amazing host and she really became a friend by the time we left! Her house is impeccably clean, rooms are quiet and comfortable, beautiful design all around. Breakfasts were delicious and next to that, Mary invites her guests every evening to a wine social. We spent beautiful evenings together with her guests, made friends and had meaningful conversations. We plan to return!

A beautiful location walking distance to a number of wineries but what made it most special was Mary and Terry’s hospitality. A highlight was talking them over evening wine and cheese.

The loveliest hosts who were only two happy to give us advice and delicious cheese and wine. The breakfast was also incredible. The room was spotless and very spacious. Mary and Terry were just so lovely , it was o ur favourite place we stayed in New Zealand.

Their home is absolutely beautiful: beautiful location, vast space, top quality view, top quality linen, beautiful furniture, and they treated us like we are friends invited to their home. Didn’t stay long enough!

Secluded tranquil setting amongst the vineyards with an excellent host and hostess, who excelled in their welcoming hospitality. Superbly appointed facilities with the added benefit of both standard and electric bike hire available for extended vineyard, bungee jumping and zip wire experiences.

Great location, up in the vineyard and mountains. Stunning view for breakfast and cheese. A bit hard to find, but def worth the time and value. Kind host and two dogs who are basically your best butlers.

It is located in the tranquil Gibbston Valley overlooking beautiful vineyards. It is close to Arrowtown and not far from Queenstown, and provides easy access to ski fields. Our hosts, Mary and Terry, were exceptionally friendly and hospitable. They catered for everything that we needed. Highly recommended if you are looking for something special in the region.
