There was nothing not to like. This property is like a little bit of heaven, stunning views and all the amenities that you would want. Great location to use as a base for day trips to see all the amazing sights and historic places in the area. Victoria gave us some great suggestions on interesting walks and things to visit in the area.

Quite possibly the best place we have stayed! Beautiful self contained studio and spectacular location overlooking the ocean with private beach and kayaks. The owners could not have been more helpful.

This was our second time staying at Crab Cove and I can already say... We will be back! Another relaxing weekend away with incredible views, lovely ammenities (especially the sauna), and the friendliest hosts. Even though they don't offer breakfast anymore, which is something that was on offer the last time we stayed, Tori still made us crepes on Saturday which was such a delight. She also offered us a drink as a thank you for returning to stay. I recommend this accommodation to everyone that will listen! Do yourself a favour and book in!

Stunning view, secluded location, accommodation was very comfortable with lots of extras available (eg kayaks, private beach access, snorkels, dressing gowns, slippers, sauna...), breakfast was top quality, more than enough and freshly delivered each morning.

We rarely spend time anywhere twice as we like to explore new places however in our view there is nothing we don't like hence why we have booked three trips within a twelve month period. Handy tip: Ensure you bring food supplies from Kerikeri in a chilly bin or at Four Square in Kaeo which has supplies. The Kaeo Indian, 'Spice Grill' has quality Indian meals (and fish and chips for those who who not like Indian) to take away or eat in. Note whilst they do not deliver they cook the menu brilliantly for this Northland region.

Wonderful breakfast left at the door in a weather proof container to enable you to enjoy it in your own time and with the exquisite view. Fabulous sauna within the bathroom area which enables you to feel warm and relaxed. For those who wish to swim there is a walk with ladder steps to a beach below where you can enter the water with lifejackets on and kayak (weather/conditions dependent) For those with variance of mobility challenges the nearby Mahinepua Beach is divine, accessible by car, for those who enjoy walking and hiking the Peninsula and Mahinepua Beach can be reached on foot from the property. Comfortable bed. This is suitable for two people who are comfortable sharing a very comfy bed. Small and effective BBQ to cook crayfish, steak, butterflied chicken etc on.

Crab cove is definitely the best place we stayed in during our holiday in New Zealand. The view, the beach and use of the kayaks, and all the furniture is exceptional luxurious. Absolutely stunning place to stay. The views are amazing and such peace and tranquillity to wake up to the sound of the ocean every morning. Breakfast provided greatly exceeded my expectations, and every morning was something different, not to mention amazingly delicious. The studio room has everything you need for short or long stays and the beach is a short walk. The extra large shower and sauna just top it off a little more. Victoria and Dave make wonderful hosts and accommodate all of your needs including providing plenty of things to see and do close by. I loved my stay and recommend anyone staying in the Northern Islands to visit Crab Cove for a relaxing and special getaway. Thank you Victoria and Dave. We will definitely be back for a visit.

The privacy and uninterrupted view to the ocean is outstanding. Such a beautiful spot to chill out for a few days. The hosts are lovely and delivered the most fantastic breakfast box to the door each morning. Just book it, you will not be disappointed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Despite it being winter, the weather held up and we were able to get out for a Kayak on the water and enjoy the sunshine on the deck. We loved that there was a sauna which we used each night and the dual shower with a view of the Ocean was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the property is so well maintained. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back to stay again
