Barbara is the most wonderful host you could ever ask for. My daughter and I fell in love with every bit of our stay. From the lovely warm hug on arrival after our eventful day of roads being closed out of Nelson and then flying down at night. Barbara's beautiful stories of her life were so delightful to listen to. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. It is like staying in a 5 star hotel. My daughter didn't want to leave. She and I both felt that we found a new family member. I will be recommending this boutique stay to everybody I know.

Absolutely nothing!

Barbara was an amazingly gracious and accommodating host. She was up early to prepare our delicious breakfast in spite of the fact that we had a late arrival the night before when she had waited up for us. Her home was beautiful and immaculate, and every detail had been thought of. If you have an opportunity to stay here, take it! You will not be disappointed.

That we had to leave!

This is a fabulous property, very comfortable, and beautifully furnished, reflecting the hosts tastes and previous travels. It is spacious, comfortable, immaculate, and for what we were looking for perfectly positioned to explore Christchurch, Banks Peninsula, and inner Canterbury. There is private, secure parking, bikes to use, comfortable seating areas, a hot tub, and a lovely choice of breakfasts. Barbara, the host, couldn't have been more attentive or helpful.

Nothing to dislike at all.

Everything was just amazing! Barbara made us feel so welcome and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was so spacious and comfortable. We had a dressing room attached to the shower room. Hairdryer, iron, extra towels, duvet and pillows, all to make our stay as good as could be. We would certainly book again.

I loved everything.

Everything - from the moment I entered, I was greeted by the alpacas and Fergus (dog). Barbara came out to personally greet me and it was all up from there. Beautifully decorated home, wonderful warm service with a smile and delicious breakfast. Barbara is the best host. She goes out of her way to make you feel at home. You can tell she is an interior designer - my bedroom exuded luxury bed linen. Quality is top notch - 5 star hotel equivalent. All her Christmas decorations are up and I'm now inspired to dress up my home accordingly. All the beautiful pieces in her house tell a story of all their travels. I'm going back just to hear her stories and get some ideas about interior designing. My best stay ever over the last 20 years of work travel. Next time I'm going to stay longer and with family.

Beautiful setting in the country. Wonderful hosts Very welcoming and nothing was a bother for Barbara all weekend. Breakfasts were so fresh and delightful.. Would definately recommend as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay for three nights at Chateau Pritchard Thankyou :o)

Set in a tranquil and beautiful property just outside Christchurch . The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The room was beautifully appointed with very comfortable bedding and privacy. The hostess was very friendly and generous with her time. I loved the resident alpacas and Fergus, the sheep dog.

We've had an amazing time at Chateau Pritchard. Lovely setting, gorgeous rooms and most of all amazing hosts. We loved the food, comfortable beds and dip in the hot tub as much as Barbara's and Neville's kindness and attentiveness. It's been an absolute pleasure, Thank you.
