Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Cook IslandsThe staff were extremely helpful, and the services were top notch. Our family made use of the late night gym pool sauna and spa times, and the kitchen facilities in our room. The room was comfortable. And warm, and we will definately be back here next time we are in Wellington

New ZealandHotel is a little tired/dated, the restaurant was a bit cold, and our dinner was disappointing (the steak had gristle and the 'seasonal greens' was just kale which was already included in the main).
Clean, spacious, comfortable.

New ZealandThe only thing we found was being a level 9, it may have been the wind were not sure but throughout the night there was a noise that did wake us up from time to time. Maybe a rattle, we couldn't figure it out. Definitely coming from up above and on the outside of the building.
Breakfast was fantastic. Had everything we needed before a day of shopping. Room was a great size and everything was clean. Staff checked us in promptly too. Having check out at 11am ensure we didnt have to rush.

New ZealandVery clean and spacious room. Suitable for our adult family of 3 with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms together with a lounge and kitchen area. Kitchen well equipped with dish drawer and full-sized refrigerator. Spacious main bathroom with separate shower and bath. Room service dinner was tasty, and breakfast was great in the restaurant. Close to the Gardens and Zealandia, at the Parliament end of town. Loved our stay and would stay again.

United StatesOur stay was enjoyable overall. The room was spacious, and the kitchenette proved very useful for preparing our own meals. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to address the bathroom drainage system, as it was leaking out the door. The spa facilities offered a mixed experience. We were lucky enough to have the spa all to ourselves, which was a bonus. While the pool was quite small for swimming laps, we appreciated having it available. The jacuzzi was great, though you do need to continually press the button for the jets to run every 15 minutes. The sauna was a welcome addition, but it was a bit inconvenient as you had to leave the door ajar to avoid getting locked in. A significant area for improvement is the maintenance of the spa area itself. We found used towels strewn all over the place, suggesting a need for more frequent checks and better stocking of fresh towels. Despite the minor issues with the bathroom drainage and spa area upkeep, the fantastic location and comfortable room made for a pleasant stay.
This hotel boasts an excellent central location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. We found it an easy walk to Queens Wharf and Lambton Quay, providing quick access to the cable car terminal.

New ZealandBeing expected to pay a surcharge for use of a credit card for accommodation. I don't expect to have to pay cash or by a debit card for payments of several hundred dollars. Bank charges are a cost of doing business and should not be passed onto the customer for accommodation and amounts of several hundred dollars. Customers when travelling should have the option of paying by credit card without penalty. It is a factor that can influence my decision as to whether I stay at the hotel in future.
Small hotel, good location for attending Parliament building or places the northern end of the city.
