Peaceful location, warm welcome from the manager Hayley, private, comfortable bed, good shower pressure and nice bathroom products, well equipped kitchen, delicious platter of interesting tidbits, fireplace all set up ready for use, short drive into Hanmer Springs. I left a sum of money behind and Hayley located this for me and organised its return. I really appreciate and commend her honesty. Thanks again Hayley, and Vanessa for organising the bank transfer.

Outstanding standard of accomodation with lovely view and impressive grounds. Spacious room (Molesworth), exceptionally stylish interior decor, very generous platter (which substituted for dinner) and bottle of wine on arrival. Fully equipped kitchen available for use so not a bad idea to grab a few supplies in Hanmer Springs for an onsite breakfast and enjoy the morning view.

Wow, this place is probably the most beautiful holiday place we have ever stayed in. The house is huge, beautifully decorated, and very clean. The view from every room and the terrace is amazing. The manager is super nice. We got a bottle of great wine and a beautifully presented charcuterie board. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could think of and had a huge selection of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. It is about 5 km outside of town, but this remote location made it very special for us.

Lovely to arrive to a very warm welcome from Hayley plus a bottle of wine and cheese platter in the fridge. Beautiful quiet location. Everything has been thought of and is provided. Some of the best accommodation I have stayed in in NZ and I would love to return there one day.

To get 10/10 - A) would be good to sort out the driveway or let traveller's know about it on property description. B) have the wine cheese platter waiting in the rooms or in the fridge before arrival of the guest, with a note - more impactful. C) not having used the main house, I can understand the comments about having some breakfast items available - considering the town centre is a 12 min drive away. D) A bathtub (perhaps tucked in the corner of the cottage).

One bedroom cottage review: Mich better with an 4WD or AWD and/ or visiting in dry weather conditions, as the driveway is a high gradient dirt track (no gravel or paving). I wouldn't want to attempt that driveway in wet weather with a normal car. Having said that, there is a gravel lower gradient option, which you only know about once you're at the property as it's a private road. Other than that, the one bedroom cottage itself is a delight. Fireplace, fully fitted kitchen - so come provisioned if you're not planning on travelling further that day to the town centre. The wine and cheese platter was pretty substantial and can do as a dinner option if you're getting in late and haven't brought anything to cook with. Delightfully secluded. Perfectly set up. Comfy bed. Beautiful views. Bathrobe.

This property has amazing views and looks out towards Hamner Springs, it has the most magnificent sunrises and sunsets.

We stayed here just over a week ago. We Loved Absolutely everything. Such high end luxury living and the hospitality and attention to detail was amazing. Hayley is an absolutely wonderful hostess and went above and beyond for us and super friendly and passionate about the place. We will definitely be back! A bonus is the super clear night skies for astro lovers!
