Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Have stayed at a few places with my dog, and even though he's trained, and we leave the rooms as we found them, many pet motels are dives - low on cleanliness, layout, staff understanding -making it hard to travel with a dog. Aarangi is completely different - it's a combination of friendly staff, beachside location, spotless rooms, affordability, dog-walk terrain options and motel site layout that make it our absolute favourite in Auckland.

New ZealandWe have a dog and the price was $35 per night for her to stay which can add up quite expensive for 3 nights. However, this price seems average across motels in this area per night. I prefer to find cheaper options given our longer stay.
Good location and warm comfy beds. All of the beds were heated. A nice touch in winter. Will definitely return.

New Zealand- We were in a downstairs room and we could hear everything from the room above us. I would've loved some better sound proofing. - Not much the property can do about this but unfortunately a caveat to the great location is that there's plenty of road noises, people playing music loudly, cars purposely skidding, very loud motorbikes, people drinking and walking up and down the streets being obnoxiously loud.
- On-site managers were there to greet us and were absolutely lovely people, super friendly and welcoming. - The price we paid ($130 NZD for the night) was good value for what we got. - Well laid out room. Tidy. Had everything we needed in terms of bedding, heaters, Sky TV was a bonus, amenities, kitchen etc. - Quite a comfortable stay. - Location was perfect. Right next to an awesome restaurant, Der Metz, and also a minute walk from the beach. Block of shops also down the other way which was handy.

New ZealandThe units are old and small but clean and functional with good furnishings and linen. I’d like to suggest that the extra fee charged for a pet could be a bond returned on leaving the unit immaculate but I appreciate this could cause more problems.
A separate bedroom was the first great thing. Accepting pets too. Off street parking very close to the unit made it easy to carry pets and luggage. Very quiet location in a lovely neighbourhood. A convenience store nearby.
